Chapter 912: Children of Heliox and Atraxia
[OP: ]
"Yawnnnn~."
"Do you wanna sleep, Anna? Should we go take a nap?"
She seemed sleepy to all of them, but her sisters knew she was just bored.
"No. I wanna play."
They were sitting in the garden on this fine afternoon with the bright sun shining up in the sky, the shade of Her favourite tree blocking the unwanted sunlight, filtering it and passing only the gentle soothness of the sun.
"You wanna play, but you don't want to play the usual way. What exactly is it that we should do then?"
It has been an hour since they all gathered here and were just sitting here.
There was nothing fun to do. Anna was getting bored as well. The things that they could do here were pretty limited so even if they wanted to do something, they didn't really have much options on them.
The most that they could do was play with all the creatures, the furballs, the lizardman, the familiars, and their Taika.
There wasn't much to do here and their big brother Axion and Sister Elle were busy with their own things.
The rest of them had been playing, reading, and practising by themselves for a few days now, but it wasn't fun anymore either.
Anna especially wanted to do something that was more fun, something that would actually be exciting and new.
"Haaa… can't we do something new?"
"What new thing do you want to do, little one. At least tell us something. Something that will give us an idea of what you want to do at least."
In the last hour they had been laying here, they had brainstormed everything that they might find interesting.
Going shopping in the city, doing something on the underground floor, playing some game in a new way, something new, something unique… they had thought of all kinds of things that she might find fun.
But, she wasn't in the mood for these simple things.
She wanted to do something that was new. Something that they could enjoy without her big brother and big sister.
There wasn't much that they could think would be fun without them. And, since Anna was more attached to the two of them, she might not even find other things as fun as the more exciting things without the two of them.
"I don't know… I just want to do something that will be new and fun."
In the last week, they had done a lot of fun things.
They had gone out, they had played around the entire house, and they had even been to Hiraani.
Since Eon and her sister Elle were around, she was having a great time.
She was happy, there was rarely any moment where she wasn't smiling.
Even the rest of them had a good time with them, but strangely… now that they were busy with their important things, the rest of them were left alone.
"Haaaa."
Of course though, they weren't actually alone.
There were a lot of them and they could most certainly have done something that was actually fun if they just made up their mind and started something.
But, aside from Zoe and Quin, the rest of them including the Lizardman and the fluffy furballs were sad and bored.
Taika was just rolling around the grass since Anna wasn't saying anything, and mostly since Anna did not want to do anything they were suggesting, the rest of them were also just being lazy.
The main reason she wanted to do something different was because of Eon and Elle.
They weren't around and they weren't going to be around for a few days.
Even her mom and grandmother, and others would be going out for work as well.
She will be alone for a while, so she wanted to be prepared for when she did not have them around.
She truthfully wanted to do something that they could do without the others around, something that they could do in a relatively empty place.
Or some new kind of place other than their own house.
But, everything the others were suggesting seemed boring to her.
Thus, they just stayed there, and enjoyed the calm breeze of the warm afternoon.
"Looks like you all are bored."
The two grandpas who had been watching them from afar for a while now walked up to them and sat down on the grass with them.
Lord Zahavi and Lord Maweth, their and their sister Elle's grandpa, King rank knights and one of a kind presence on the battlefield were both worried how the children looked so down.
They could tell it was more of boredom rather than sadness, so they left them be for the time being.
But even after an hour, since they were still in their place, sitting there doing nothing, both old men could not look at their lovely children like that anymore.
"Why don't you do something?" Anna's grandpa, the old man with a large muscular stature, thick beard, short blonde hair and deep blue eyes asked his grandchildren with a simple smile on his face.
He did not like the look they had, but he found it funny how all these exceptional children were just sitting there, doing practically nothing when there was a number of fun things that they could do in this house, in this city, in this empire, and in this world.
They were on break and unlike them, they did not have to attend the grand conference so they were free to do anything they wanted… and yet, instead of deciding what to do, they were merely sitting there.
He couldn't help but laugh at this rare child-like behaviour of these children.
They weren't the same as the usual children so the things that would be fun for them were not something normal children their age would enjoy.
They all were different, so they all needed a new kind of fun.
"Haaa… what do we even do, grandpa?"
Anna looked at her grandfather with a tired look and slowly told him all about how they could not find out what they should do.
She even told him in detail how she wanted to do something new or something by themselves, something she had not told her big sisters and brothers.
"Ah, I see. So you want to do something fun by yourself."
The Lord of Atraxia, the person who was called the 'reaper of the battlefield' had a smile on his face.
He found it funny how these smart children, these bright children famous throughout the world for their talents and their great achievements were all just sitting there contemplating something so simple.
He wanted to laugh out loud at the funny stupidity of these children.
"Sometimes I wonder how well we raised these bunch."
"Their grandmothers and fathers played a bigger part in their unique natures, brother."
All of them- except Quinny- were children of two of the very famous noble households.
They were from families that had money and power both.
They had lands and houses all over the state, and there was no place in this world where they could not go to.
They just wanted to wish for something and it would come true. They had as much influence in their families as Eon and Elle did.
They were special as well and there was nothing that they could not get if they wanted to.
Playing somewhere by themselves, doing something alone, doing something that was fun and something that they could do just by themselves for fun was something very simple.
They could have gone on a vacation to some of their territories, they could have gone to some fun place around the empire, they could have brought something fun to this place if they wanted to as well.
There were many things that they could do as children of Heliox and Atraxia, yet they were just thinking while sitting under a tree.
Something that would be more common among the normal children of normal families.
"Look here, children."
"Hmm?"
Elle's grandfather called them out and all of them, including the Povpoi, looked at the two elders.
"If you want to do something fun by yourself, there is a lot that you can do. But, if you don't want to go somewhere unfamiliar, you can go around to the other territories, you know?"
Going to the main house of Heliox in the north was not possible right now thanks to those birds, so it was out of the question for now.
But, there were many more territories owned by these two powerful families.
Most of them were safe, and if they did not want to go there, they could go and meet their other friends as well.
They were free to do anything they wanted.
"If you want, I can arrange-."
"Ohh! That's right! How about we all go to sister Elle's house and play with the big turtle~?"
Elle's grandfather was trying to be nice and offer them a fun trip to Ur… but instead of the city of steam and streams, Anna was more interested in the mountainous lands of the South.
"Haaaa."
"That's right~! I remember Sister Elle's mommy said they would be going to her house to continue their work~! Let's all go there as well~!"
Her excuse was that she wanted to play with the big turtle but in fact, she just wanted to do something new.
"Anna, but… Arina is here. And we will be going out for work as well…"
"That's better~! We can play there by ourselves~."
There was a bitter smile on his face now.
He knew just from those determined eyes alone that this girl would not listen to anyone now that she had decided what she wanted.
"Yes~! Let's go prepare~!"
She was a stubborn one like her brother and grandfather.
The rest of them knew if she had decided to do this, then there would be no way to talk her out of it.
They could only follow what she wanted, or… they can ask Eon to talk her out of it.
But they knew he would not do it in this particular situation.
