Chapter 425: Chapter 431: There’s Not a Single Fighter! (Second Update)
God damn it, Yang Zhen looked at the smug cat with a bizarre expression, wondering how it could have turned out like this.
Back in the day, that cat…never mind, when he first met it, the bastard was just as wicked. Only now, it had become even more so.
What, the name I’ve thought of isn’t domineering enough?” The cat looked at Yang Zhen in dubious confusion, then after a moment of careful thought, it said, “I find it quite impressive, even Sao Saint approves the name I came’up with.”
Yang Zhen looked at Sao Saint in shock, asking, “You really approve?”
Sao Saint proudly nodded his head as if getting his approval made the name much more prestigious.
Yang Zhen decided to leave, refusing to fraternize with these two tasteless buffoons.
Seeing Yang Zhen stride away, the cat and Sao Saint exchanged glances before hurriedly adding, “Kid, don’t you want to know why the Separation Star Sect is so against the Spiritual Studies Palace and Ink Pool Peak?”
Yang Zhen looked at them with disdain and said, “Do you think I’m mindless like you two? Liang Lie, the Palace Master of the Separation Star Sect, was enormously tricked by me. It would be strange if he wasn’t targeting the Spiritual Studies Palace and the Ink Pool Peak. How could Old Man Mo invite me to the Ink Pool Peak when he had nothing else to do? He should feel fortunate that he has already done something to prepare for covering my ass!” The cat turned a dumbfounded stare at Yang Zhen, eyes growing wide as it exclaimed, “Damn, kid. You knew all of this? No wonder you’re sneaking around creating a flying machine. We assumed you wanted to make a splash, to be the dark horse in the Flying Machine Competition, but it turns out you just want Ink Pool Peak to cover for you?”
Yang Zhen cast a glance at the cat and said, “In some ways, you’re right. The truth is, I don’t have much interest in this Flying Machine Competition. Don’t you think it’s bullying if I participate in such a competition?” The cat stood still, exchanging shocked looks with Sao Saint. They stared at Yang Zhen, amazed, and sighed, “We really underestimated your confidence, heck, kid. Wait a second!”
Watching Yang Zhen walk away, the cat and Sao Saint quickly followed again while chuckling, “Kid, now we have to give you a wake-up call. If you think that the flying machine competition is only about the junk that the disciples at Ink Pool Peak have made, then you are gravely mistaken.”
“Oh?” Yang Zhen was taken aback, and then disdainfully replied, “If it’s not these trashy things, then what could it be? I haven’t seen anything worth fighting for all these days!”
The cat chuckled and said, “That’s because you’re ignorant. At this time, who would bring out their truly powerful flying machines? Hey, all the flying machines you’ve seen until now are just pieces of junk that don’t even qualify to participate in the competition.”
“Eh?” Yang Zhen appeared startled, a spark of interest lighting up in his eyes. “How did you know?”
Looking smug, the cat replied, “Because I snuck into the Separation Star Sect and saw the much-talked-about Mighty Sky.”
Yang Zhen was genuinely surprised. He had no idea that the cat could stealthily infiltrate somebody else’s Separation Star Sect. His interest piqued, he asked, “You saw it? So, what kind of flying machine is this Mighty Sky?” Looking disdainful, the cat replied, “You say you’re not interested, but your heart tells a different story.”
“Damn it, are you going to tell me or not? If not, I’m off to practice my cultivation.” Yang Zhen turned to leave.
The cat didn’t panic, and chuckled in response, “Yeah right, you’ll start practicing! If someone like you started to cultivate, there wouldn’t be any lazy Practitioners left in this world!”
Yang Zhen swung his leg at the cat, “I will kick you, bastard!”
The cat burst into laughter, and after the two had finished their playful scuffle, the cat continued, “The Mighty Sky is indeed an extraordinary flying machine. Can you guess what it is? Damn, it’s actually an Eagle Rupture!”
“Eagle Rupture?” Yang Zhen was taken aback “An old eagle?”
“Oh no, it’s not just a simple old eagle. To the naked eye, it seems just like an eagle, but its wings are incomparably sharp. Especially those claws, they could practically shred gold and break stones, a truly frightening sight, worthy of an Iron Star Wood masterpiece.”
Upon hearing this, Yang Zhen was surprised. He had not expected the technology level of this world to be so advanced that even an eagle made from a millennium-old Iron Star Wood could flap its wings at people and claw at them.
“How fast?” Yang Zhen curiously asked.
“Well, it was no slower than me, dammit. If I hadn’t run so fast, they would’ve probably caught me. It was so fast, swooped right over my head in an instant, so fast that I nearly pissed myself. You have to help me take revenge, kid. I can’t get over this.”
Yang Zhen was dumbfounded. Could the eagle be so fast that it wasn’t just some beast tamed by the Separation Star Sect?
Though the cheetah’s speed wasn’t particularly fast, it was not something an average Tribulation Crossing Period practitioner could catch up with. It ran so fast that it left most people in the dust. Could it really almost catch up with it?
“This is getting interesting. Tell me more about that Eagle… oh no, about Weizhentian’s specific data.”
Excited, the cheap cat began to explain, while inside the Peak Master Palace of Ink Pool Peak reigned an atmosphere of gloom and doom.
Palace Master Liang had come to Ink Pool Peak at some point and was having a staring contest with Peak Master Mo.
“Is Weizhentian really that terrifying?” The god of Ink Pool Peak hesitated,
“How does it compare to your Lightning Shuttle?”
“It is not even on the same level!” Palace Master Liang laughed bitterly, “I think, the Lightning Shuttle would not last half an hour in front of Weizhentian, and even be caught and torn to pieces within the time it takes to drink a cup of tea!”
Hissing !
There was a collective gasp in the hall. The god from the Ink Peak Master stared at Liang, his face gradually sinking.
The Spiritual Studies Palace’s Lightning Shuttle is already the top of the line aircraft in the Northern Island, with specifications that are almost identical to Ink Pool Peak’s Ink Wind.
In such a scenario, even if the strengths of the Spiritual Studies Palace and Ink Pool Peak were combined, they probably couldn’t do anything about Weizhentian.
Peak Master Mo pondered for a moment before turning to an old man behind him, “Elder Mo, is there really no way to improve Ink Wind’s performance?” Elder Mo sighed and said, “Easier said than done. The Ink Wind is the peak of our Refining Path. I can confirm that Weizhentian was definitely not independently refined by the Separation Star Sect.”
You mean…” Palace Master Liang’s color deepened, he said in a low voice, “Are you saying that the Shanggeng Secret Clan was involved in this?”
Elder Mo nodded and said, “I heard that the Separation Star Sect has recently been in close contact with the Ke Clan, and according to the legend, the Ke Clan was a race with deep attainments in Refining during the Shanggeng Period. But their inheritance has been broken for ten thousand years. Could it be that they are still so terrifying and much stronger than us?”
Upon hearing about the Ke Clan, the entire hall plunged into complete silence, and a sense of heaviness hung over everyone’s heads.
Mo Xueling suddenly spoke, “I’ll go find Yang Zhen!”
Peak Master Mo was taken aback, asking in surprise, “What are you going to find him for? Not to mention his refining skills, even if he has no interest in the aircraft competition, can he still help us?”
Palace Master Liang also nodded and said, “Miss Mo, it’s better not to bother Yang Zhen. He should have the rare opportunity to practice, so he can help us when we enter the Mobei Abyss.”
She?” Mentioning practice, Mo Xueling stomped her foot, “This bastard spends all day sightseeing with the Saintess and doesn’t spend a moment on practice!”
