Chapter 39: Birthday Party - 2
Chapter 39: Birthday Party - 2
"Okay, Madam Bones! I was wondering why the Aurors are here gathered in the morning?" Neville asked Amelia in a low voice.
"What else boy If not investigating your last DOD professor? He has a vault here. A very well protected vault but we cannot search it because these Goblins have their own rules.
We need a certain key and authorisation letter to check the vault, or it will stay locked. There must be something inside it, something that can lead us to the location of the wandering wraith of Dark Lord."
Amelia told everything to young Nev. After all, the boy already had a short duel with the Dark Lord and managed to survive. It was he who uncovered his plan to kill Harry Potter after taking over the body of a professor at Hogwarts.
"Hmmm that is tough Madam Bones. There is no way Goblins will just allow anyone to search the vault of another wizard without permission. After all, this is their sole business. But I think there is a method that I can help you with." Neville whispered to Madam Bones and gave her a gesture to follow him to one side.
Madam bones amused at the young boy decided to play along.
"So, Neville, what is the solution?"
"Well, Madam Bones, you can send a letter from the Auror office for the checking of the security of the Vault as you are worried about someone breaking and entering inside.
This will push the Goblins to do a small inspection, nonetheless. You can't enter but they can.
Then a wizard will enter the vault with a portkey that is linked to your office. Once that is done, you can directly enter the vault from your own office bypassing all this Goblin trouble and then destroy the portkey to remove any trouble from Goblins."
Madam bones was genuinely impressed by this quick robbery plan thought by Neville, but she knew this plan was impossible.
"Neville, if you haven't noticed, we cannot use unforgivable curses to control the goblins. Doing so will simply result in a new war-like situation with them. Second, there is no other way for a wizard to magically get inside while the Goblins are doing the inspection."
Madam Bones shook her head at the childish behaviour of Neville. Sure, he was a smart boy but still a young boy. As an adult, you must think of practical solutions rather than creative & impossible ones.
Neville looked at Madam Bones while he was making a very big decision inside his head. He knew he could help her but by doing so, he will expose one of the cards he wanted to keep hidden.
"Madam bones, you should know I respect you and our family is in debt of your help in saving the lives of my parents multiple times. Why don't you come to my party tonight and I will solve this little trouble of yours as a token of gratitude for all the things you have done in past?"
Nev after deciding to help Madam Bones gave her a hint and then left without saying anything else. Some secrets can be revealed to people like her but not in public places. In the wizarding world, even walls have ears.
Madam Bones was looking at the back of the boy who again piqued her interest. She already had plans to go to the party with her niece Susan to check on Frank and Alice after they have come back from the hospital. Now, she had one more reason.
Meanwhile, Neville and his Nan, went down to their Vault and took out a few precious items like paintings, jewellery and other decorative pieces for the party and came back to the manor.
In the evening, the whole Longbottom Manor was brightly lit. The garden is decorated with beautiful soft lights and a lot of small fairies were present as decorative lights in many places to highlight the atmosphere.
Neville also used his magic to communicate with many small animals and made many small deals that allowed him to have small blue pixies working as waiters, These XXX classified creatures who are known to be naughty and mischief-making were as docile as fairies.
Also, the presence of cute Diricawl (Dodo type birds) and the famous Longbottom's Pygmy Puffs made the coming guests feel much more relaxed at this warm and soft natured party.
The guest's list included some famous families along with his classmates.
Bones family Susan Bones and her Aunt Amelia were both linked to Nev.
Shacklebolt family Dean T. Shacklebolt along with his uncle were already family friends.
Weasley family Ron Weasley is a roommate so can't ignore their family, but Harry Potter's birthday is tomorrow, so they won't come anyway.
The Brown family Pureblood neutral family with Lavender Brown already in Gryffindor.
Patil Family The Indian family with twin daughters in Hogwarts. Known to be rich and had good connections on the Asian side of Wizarding World.
McLaggen Family The family with most politicians in Ministry and now Cormac McLaggen, the only male heir was one year senior to Neville in Gryffindor.
Along with these wizard families, Nev also invited the muggle families of Hermione, Seamus, Kellah and a few others.
-------Granger's house-----
"Mum, I am ready!" Hermione after spending hours getting her hair fixed came downstairs after multiple reminders from her mother.
"Thank God, dear. I was already wondering if we will be late for today's party or a little early for the next year's one!"
Hermione's mother made a small jest and after looking at her beautiful daughter, felt so proud. Thankfully the daughter took her features.
"Let's go. Shall we? The carriage is already waiting for an hour outside." Mr. Granger interrupted the discussion of the mother-daughter and then walked outside of his house.
"Women! Seriously!" Sighing he entered inside the carriage which was sent by Neville to all his muggle friends.
Then Hermione and her mother also hurried inside, and their carriage slowly walked towards the Longbottom area and after a few turns, it became invisible to all other muggles. It was going faster than most cars but somehow all muggles just didn't notice it.
When Hermione and her family came in front of the Longbottom manor, they were surely impressed by the sight of the beautiful castle. Especially Hermione's muggle parents who have never seen homes or castles like these.
