Chapter 116: The pot calling the kettle black.
Chapter 116: The pot calling the kettle black.
When he finally got unsealed, he had thought that it would be some powerful image who accidentally stumbled on his remains. He had even decided what to tempt him with and if he's not tempted, how to escape.
But, when he saw the mysterious masked figure, who upon seeing him, immediately asked him to check her for curses and cure them, he was utterly confused on how to deal with that situation.
The masked figure emanated no whatsoever aura of a powerful mage, and except for her extremely royal demeanor and her weird clothes that covered every part of her body, she looked and seemed nothing special.
He thought that she was just an ignorant princess who was playing games with him, or had somehow got to know about his past glory and wanted him to remove some extremely deadly curse from her body.
He felt that that would make things easier. He had knowledge about all kinds of curses, and could easily cure any curse that she had. Or so he thought.
But upon examining her aura was when he recieved the first shock.
It was peculiar. Extremely peculiar. It was of no species he had ever seen or even heard of.
But he did not inquire about it as he thought that she was just using an aura changing spell.
But upon examining her mana flow and total body was when he recieved the real shock. She had the curse that he thought was just a joke, 'Final Death.'
Upon realizing that the information in the book he had thought was a weird but funny and amusing joke was actually all real, he was speechless. He did not know how to feel except shocked.
When he saw the masked figure glaring at him while expecting some answer, he stuttered out a few words, 'Y- you! A- are y- you a system user?!'
She seemed slightly suprised that he knew about system users, but soon returned to her calm demeanor and nodded while saying, "Yes."
He was extremely shocked for the umpteenth time that day with that revelation. He had just made a random guess because he had read in that book that system users had a unique aura.
He had never expected that his absolutely random guess was correct.
After that day, for some inexplicable reason, she started calling him master and working under him.
This gave him no sense of false security, mind you.
He had a devious plan in his head.
He had read about and learnt many soul chaning spells. He was planning to use that on her, and make her permanent servant.
But... he was clever. He was afraid that she would immediately murder him in an extremely deadly manner should she get to know that he was scheming against her.
So, at the start, he treated her properly for a few days and improperly for the next few days. He made it seem like the curse was weakening while treating her improperly. It would not harm her, only give her a feeling that her curse was weakening by a lot.
Upon seeing that she did not know the treatment method and what he was doing, and whether it would really cure her or not.
So, with absolute glee, he started using the soul chaining spell that would give him absolute powers over her.
Frankly speaking, the treatment should be over in a few months, but he delayed it by reducing its effects as the soul chaning spell was taking much longer than he had expected.
And finally, after a year of his complete dedication, he finally was about to almost complete the soul chaining curse.
He gave her a lame excuse that his mana, due to being absorbed by that mage, was taking much longer for him to restore, and that he was using all his mana to free her from the curse everyday, and so he will have to take a few days as a break to restore his mana.
She actually believed him. The reason he was asking for the break for a few days was to build the formation that would be used to completely bind her soul.
He made sure to hide it from her with a few illusion and concealing spells, and made more and more of it whenever she went outside to gather food for him and herself.
Due to her being in a weakened state as the curse was taking a toll on her and the soul binding spell was weakening her soul, she did not notice the spells and formation being made.
-------------------------------------
The masked figure had no more pure intentions than that of the old man's.
She had always planned to kill the old man from the start as soon as he healed and broke her from the damn curse.
She mixed slow poison in the food that she gave him, which slowly corroded away at his body. She had the antitode which would slow his death from the slow poison.
There were two reasons that she was using the slow poison.
One, if he played any kind of tricks, she could use the slow poison as a leash to control that dog of an old man.
Two, it would make it easier for her to kill him when she was finally freed from the curse.
Author's note :
Skip all this if you don't have time.

[Author sighs and says, "Editor - san, gimme some more ideas... what do I do?! I gotta increase the word count.
Editor puts his chin in his hand and enters deep thinking mode and says, "I have an idea, but isn't increasing the word count like this cheating the readers?"
Author sighs and says, "Of course not. I'll be writing the rewritten version too right? So they'll get double the content if they unlock this one chapter. The first one being the old version one and then the new one with cannibalism and all."
Editor smiles and says, "Well that's more fair I guess. So, maybe you can add a long lengthy authors note that you remove when you write the rewritten version?"
Author smiles guilty, "Yes... that's the only way. I'll definitely remove it afterwards and give them quality stuff... I mean I'm forced to do this now because I have boards, [a very important test in India ] , and have to prepare for it while preparing for the monthly exams they keep... so I'm not really free till June 10th."
Editor whistles, "Deym. That's a long time from now."
"I know, but I have these monthly tests to prepare for, and like boards are considered like a divine test in India. There are students who suicide upon failing them and all.", the author says while sighing.]
Please read the story from the start again. I'm rewriting it. I assure you it'll be good (pats chest). Like I'm including stuff like a secret group of assassins for Harry, and all. I'm also thinking of including a function like scope of personality that will give him powers to examine all his citizens and kill those who are not loyal [Grins evilly and scarily.]
Gimme your Power Stones, please! I'm not getting many good features, and it may help if I enter the top 200. The 199th novel has like 380 Power stones, so gimme 400!
Lol, it's not like I'm asking it for free. You'll get 4 chapters on Sunday if you gimme those 400 Power stones. [Pleading expression].
Join my discord server for a lot of cool stuff, okay? Like you get live chapter rewrite status, and I tend to talk about any new ground-breaking things about the story there, and, best of all, you can give me ideas for the story! Well, you can give it down in the comments too.
Anyway, take care all you readers. If you ever just need a shoulder to cry on about life, just dm me in discord. I'll definitely listen to you as soon as I'm online in discord.
I stress this again, please read the story from the start once more. You'll have many surprises. If you just like the old version, then go to google and search, I Will Conquer The World.
The last time I checked, a piracy website was letting people read my first 59 free chapters, which were of the old version.
All in all, to wrap things up nicely for this chapter, thank you to all my readers. I appreciate your support and love you show to my book. Even your hate helps me improve. I admit, this is not the best book. But, I am trying my best to at least make it into a memorable experience for all you readers. I sincerely hope you read the book from the start again, as there are lots of surprises waiting to be discovered.
I've also started using a grammar app, and so the overall quality should improve, like small typos and grammar errors. It's been a lovely experience writing, and I want it to be a lovely experience for you readers to read my book.
