Chapter 336 - A New World Pillar
"And just like that, we are here," Kyoya looked up into the sky, his hand above his eyes to challenge the sun.
He smiled widely, then looked at his party members.
Except Kyoya's wife, Xiaoxiao and Akaro, everyone else was looking dumbfounded at the new world pillar.
Yes, it wasn't a world that looked different from their own, but the concept behind their journey here was so simple.
The husband just used the method he got from Wron, that was like a teleportation ticket, and the whole party went through the two different worlds in the blink of an eye.
It sounded so simple and even felt like so, but the concepts behind it and the raw power used for this ticket were what made everything possible.
To get those; one had to work the hardest!
"At the top, new problems will arise and the former barriers will become a forgotten memory," Kyoya said, then his party sighed and smiled faintly at him.
Those were talks that kids couldn't understand, but Kuro and the rest still hadn't realized they were in the new world pillar.
Nonetheless, the party set for an adventure immediately.
The husband, Noe and Hiro were close to each other as they discussed about this world, "Wron said that this world has the same rules as our world pillar. However, no world wants to be the same like others. The change quickly happened after the new rules had been set."
The new rules were caused by Xaya back when she destroyed the floors one by one. The rules got rid of the immortality for everyone, creating one guardian family that governed the floor.
It was a system full of flaws as immortality for one family could still amount to nothing in face of stronger individuals.
During the talk, the gods did the whole system with various emotions and bickering between them.
The strongest one, The Death God, couldn't give any shit about them.
There were also the ascended kingdoms created in this new system. It was the floor that pushed everyone here and people began to fight to get a place here for each other.
The new top had been set by the gods and it was the reason why they had been so satisfied with the new system.
People began to develop more and they still stayed in the low pillar without trying to go higher.
The Higher World Pillars had their own unique and unchanged system that was often the last test for potential direct disciples.
"But no world wants to stay the same… The Guardian Family's flaw had been recognized by its residents." This flaw was taken as the test, though.
How could those gods even make mistakes? The believers thought and they worked their way to fix the flaw.
Little did they know that the death god behind it and had too much work to even care about them.
And the gods didn't want to play much with the death energy too.
Kyoya laughed as he read that from his Death God's heritage, "Let's see how they fixed this flaw."
"That sounds interesting. It's like our world pillar lags behind, though. Or maybe we just like things to be primitive?" Hiro glanced at his friends with a sneer on his face, then shrugged.
Next to him, Noe nodded, "We might lag behind. but there should be worlds that became even worse too. This can go both ways, right?"
"Of course," Kyoya agreed on the spot.
That was how things went and while some world pillar might seem like they advanced faster, some might have already failed to the point where their floors crumbled. A lot of stuff can happen too, for example; a yandere wolf might use the world as her escape route and what then?
Kyoya burst out laughing, then a few minutes later his eyes finally landed on the city with a considerable population.
The party passed through the gates, then split.
"I and Noe will go and check the guardian family," Kyoya said and urged Noe to come closer to him. She gladly stood next to him, then a small wolf chimed in.
"Have fun, Big Noe!" Riley waved her toy and Noe waved back, promising that she wouldn't waste this time at all.
The two black-haired girls laughed the same.
Hiro added after their laughter diminished, "We can book a private room in the restaurant, then split here further. I will go around and ask for some information." Hiro already knew about the lightning enemies and Wron's friend's race, so he could make some intel.
He glanced at his sons who were close to Kyoya's kids and asked them all, "Who wants to go with me for some cool information gathering?" A good father flashed his white teeth and sounded rather cool.
But no one raised their hands.
The kids just looked at him.
'What? You want to eat that much?' Hiro awkwardly smiled, but his heart cried out loudly.
His wife then spoke, "We should make some memories here. Who wants to go shopping and buy memorable souvenirs?"
"Me!" Every kid raised their hands and it seemed like Hiro's wives and Xaya would go for the shopping later on.
It made Hiro's existence even more bland as he looked at the ground. His thoughts writing itself in his mind, 'Don't you guys want to become stronger?'
Kids were kids and they needed more fun.
"I will accompany you. Cheer up, young father," But the elven voice flowed into his ears from behind, causing Hiro to instantly straighten his back! He turned around, entered brief moe mode and thanked Fusia like a gentleman.
His son raised voice at Hiro, "Stupid! Why did you bow? Haha! Men don't bow!" He proudly said what he had read in the fantasy book. A cringe line said by a five rate villain; Men don't bow, they take what they want with sheer force. Truly, a line from the children book about heroes.
"You have yet to understand the world, brat!" Hiro waved his hand, his voice a little louder.
The small human pursed his lips and held back as his father rarely raised voice at him. He looked a little too shocked and sad, though.
"There is nothing wrong with that bow! A man knows when to ignore all principles and strove for greater success!" Hiro tried to sound harsh, but also cool at the same time.
His son thought, otherwise, "What greater success! You will just go together with aunt for information gathering! What greater success! Stupid!"
"You don't understand the world… As I said… In the future, you will." A date with moe blond elf… His son truly didn't understand… But how could he? He was too young, so Hiro repeated himself and his son threw stone at him.
"It was me back then!" He said what he told uncle to do, then ran away with other kids that were supporting him as the friends.
"Wait… That sneaky brat! And there I thought differently!" Hiro rushed after his kid who already found some restaurant. He called his mother, told her to kick the father away, then closed the doors by himself.
All people laughed so hard at Hiro that he eventually went with Fusia for some intel gathering.
Kyoya and Noe waved back at everyone, then went to the special building.
This building was called 'The Guardian Call' and each city and even villages had one in their walls.
Noe felt a faint energy trail around the reception.
She and Kyoya spoke to the man behind the desk, "Hi, where can we meet the guardian family? I believe they would like to speak with us."
"Huh?" The man blanked, "From what stone did you two emerge out? Just go to their Ascended Kingdom."
"..."
"..."
Another simple thing…
So simple…
Ascended Kingdom conquered by the guardian family had sown much more fear and prestige across other floors and ascended kingdoms!
In the husband's first world pillar, even commoners and weaker people thought of guardians as useless people.
But what if the strongest, from the 100th floor, decided to gather them and conquer the ascended kingdom?
What kind of fear had they left in all other people's hearts?
Noe felt her heart palpitating just by thinking about it.
Kyoya also felt the same, his eyes trying to process the whole information. He also had many questions, but the receptionist spoke.
"If you haven't spotted any danger from the upper floor, then just leave. This is not an information center."
"Elaborate on it," Kyoya instantly replied, his red eyes ordering the man.
