From Human to Skeleton: Revived with Infinite System Crystals

Chapter 444 Enter Jalen #8

Erebos stood tall, a menacing figure, as Elithira lay motionless behind him. King Griswald stood beside him, his presence adding to the gravity of the moment. Erebos's eyes narrowed as he regarded the boy before him. "And who exactly are you?" he questioned, his voice dripping with disdain. Your journey continues on empire

The boy, gripping the soul he had taken from the Dragoon, looked at it curiously. "I wonder why he wants it," he mused aloud. Then, meeting Erebos's gaze, he straightened up. "But me? My name is Jalen."

With a confident pat on his chest, the mark of the number 8 appeared on his clothing, glowing with a faint light. "I was sent here to assist someone named Todd and Nana, but I see things have escalated a bit since my King ordered me to assist here."

Erebos smirked, bringing a finger up to his lips thoughtfully. "He should have brought a higher rank to deal with me, but how did you break my barrier?"

Jalen smirked back, sweat dripping from his brow. "Wouldn't you like to know?"

Jalen's eyes flickered with determination as he continued, "It's no mistake by that orange hair you are Lord Erebos of the Vampires. I imagine my King will be happy to know that I took down his biggest headache."

Erebos flicked his finger sideways dismissively, a dangerous glint in his eyes. "Oh, trust me, he will have bigger problems coming soon."

As he spoke, the sound of a spinning coin hurtled through the air toward Jalen, the metallic whirring growing louder. Jalen's eyes widened momentarily as he braced himself, the coin slicing through the air with deadly precision.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

With a swift motion, Jalen deflected the coin with the Dragoon's blade, the force sending a shockwave through the ground. He stood his ground, his expression resolute.

Erebos spoke again and stated "I have finished what I have planned for here. But 'looking at his wrist' I do have some time to spare so I could net myself an extra pawn."

Jalen thought internally, Just how strong is he? Will I need my own blade for this? And where is everyone anyways… first I need to secure my king's daughter.

Erebos flicked his thumb, snapping it toward Jalen as he began running along the ground. Jalen's instincts screamed at him to move. He flared his heel forward, dodging the whistling coin that hurtled past him, slicing through the air with deadly precision.

The coin ricocheted off a nearby rock, coming back at him with increased speed. Jalen twisted his body, narrowly avoiding it. The coin continued its unpredictable trajectory, forcing Jalen to stay on the move, each dodge a calculated maneuver.

Erebos watched with a mixture of amusement and frustration as Jalen evaded the coins. The distance between them closed rapidly, Erebos's eyes gleaming with anticipation. He lunged forward, attempting to throw a powerful punch. Jalen saw it coming and rolled over his shoulder, using the momentum to propel himself toward the downed Elithira.

Just as Jalen neared Elithira, King Griswald stepped into his path, crystals lining his arms and wielding a small judge's hammer that pulsed with an ominous energy. The crystals glinted menacingly, their sharp edges promising a painful encounter.

"Don't let him hit you with that!" Elithira called out weakly, struggling to get back up. Her voice was strained, but the urgency in her tone was clear.

Jalen's mind raced. He had to outmaneuver King Griswald while ensuring Elithira's safety. He feinted to the left, drawing Griswald's attention, then swiftly pivoted to the right, narrowly avoiding a swipe from the crystal-lined arm. The judge's hammer came down with a thunderous crash, splintering the ground where Jalen had stood moments before.

Jalen, from the corner of his eye, saw a body fall from a high area, a wound visible in the back. His glasses shimmered as numbers and calculations ran through his mind. Just then, Erebos came in with a swift swipe aimed at him.

With a fluid motion, Jalen ducked low, narrowly avoiding Erebos's claws. He executed a graceful backflip, his feet barely skimming the ground as he twisted in mid-air to evade a second strike. As he landed, he rolled to the side, using his momentum to spring back up, positioning himself between Erebos and Elithira.

"I see, that makes sense," Jalen stated, his voice calm yet calculating. "Elithira killed the person originally wielding her hammer by curse, and the King stole his ability with those life crystals around him."

Jalen hurled the Dragoon's blade at King Griswald with remarkable precision. As he did, a thought crossed his mind, I should try not to kill my King's subjects, but if they are working with a vampire, maybe I can have a free pass?

The blade hurtled through the air, forcing King Griswald to react quickly. Jalen used the distraction to his advantage. "Well, regardless, time to step things up a notch."

Both Erebos and King Griswald launched simultaneous attacks at Jalen. Erebos's claws slashed through the air while King Griswald's hammer came down with deadly force. But just as their attacks were about to connect, Jalen seemed to vanish into thin air.

In the blink of an eye, Jalen reappeared at the far corner of the battlefield, carrying Elithira in his arms. He gently laid her down and carefully removed the blade impaled in her back. As he did so, he could feel the tension easing from her body.

King Griswald's eyes widened in disbelief. "Did he just get taller... and hairier?" he muttered, noticing the subtle yet distinct changes in Jalen's appearance. His figure seemed more imposing, and a faint aura of power radiated from him.

Jalen, with his back to both Erebos and King Griswald, stated, "That's enough. Sorry, I can't deal with this in my normal self, so you will owe me some new clothes... well, not really since you'll be dead, but you get my point."

Erebos shook his head, a smirk playing on his lips. "I actually have no idea what you're talking about. I never bothered to learn about the Demon King's fodder creatures."
