An entire week had passed since Shye received the promotion, however, the transfer to Valenzia would only happen three months from now.

Thus, he had ample time to make preparations.

Moreover, he was waiting…

'Haaah…When will that midget return? Also, when will my challengers arrive?' Shye sighed as he lazed around at the guild's special lounge.

This time, no one dared clown around in front of him.

Why?

Well, two days ago, Luna challenged him to a duel in hopes of gauging his true abilities.

Initially, despite his recent mind-boggling achievement, everyone was skeptical if he could win against Luna.

It wasn't a matter of stupidity but rather, their imaginations couldn't keep up.

They found it hard to imagine her losing, as even the top five adventurers in Balkrow struggled to defeat her in one-on-one duels.

Moreover, she reigned as the strongest Raven's Blade adventurer in Balkrow for two and a half years now.

And in that period, no one even came close to dethroning her.

This was why everyone was in disbelief when they saw Luna kneeling on the ground, panting in exhaustion, without having landed a single clean hit on Shye.

It was their first time witnessing their queen so helpless.

Her defeat was inevitable though, as all of her warrior attributes were inferior by around thirty to forty points compared to Shye's base attributes.

And when he equipped his greatswords, the gap widened even further.

It wasn't even a match.

Thus, Shye became the undisputed king of adventurers in Raven's Blade Balkrow Branch.

Naturally, after such an unreal display of abilities, not a single one of his guildmates would dare sh*t around in front of him again, finally allowing him to have some peace inside the cozy lounge.

A week of lazing around while waiting wasn't his style though, so he quickly became bored.

Luckily, one of his sources of amusement returned later that day.

…"BOSS!!" Seira's loud voice—evidently excited—sounded outside the lounge.

It seemed they had plenty to talk about, even though they had only been apart for a month and a half.

Chuckling in amusement, Shye stood up and exited the lounge.

"You've been out on this third solo quest of yours for more than two weeks so I thought you weren't coming back ever!"

"Hmmph! Who do you think I am? I'm the great Seira! How would I be defeated by mere monstrous creatures?!"

The two joked around as they descended the stairs.

"Say, how about we eat at my favorite seafood restaurant? You better treat me this time!" Shye said, not expecting Seira to agree so readily.

"Oh? Sure! But in exchange, you have to tell me everything that happened during your first dungeon extermination mission, okay? Without missing any details, you hear me?"

"Fine, you're in for another shock this time!"

Exiting the branch headquarters, the duo walked towards Shye's favorite seafood restaurant, giving Seira ample time to recount the tales of her bravery.

Her proudest moment was when she fought and defeated a (B-) ranked monstrous creature called a Hellfire Scorpion.

She almost lost her life in the process but through sheer willpower and determination to come out of the encounter alive, she managed to win, allowing her to enter the ranks of the elites amongst ruby-ranked adventurers.

A great first step towards becoming a well-respected emerald-ranked adventurer.

Naturally, she continuously thanked Shye for all his help throughout her stories, giving him credit for everything she had accomplished so far.

Before they knew it, they were already at the restaurant.

"And that concludes the tales of Seira the Great. NYAHAHAHAHA! What do you think, boss? Are you impressed?"

"Hahahaha, yeah, I didn't expect that you would be able to accomplish such feats! I admit that I've underestimated you."

"HAHAHAHAHA! That's what I like to hear!"

Entering the restaurant, the two of them momentarily stopped chatting to order food, resuming once they were done.

"So, boss, how about you tell me what happened to your first dungeon extermination mission?"

"Heh, listen closely, here's what happened…"

Since he trusted Seira, he told her everything that occurred during the mission without missing a single detail.

He described falling into the water full of Bornocs and how comfortable their massage was, his sudden separation from the party, his ceiling battle against a huge crystalline cockroach, falling into an endless abyss and ending up in a pitch-black ocean where he fought and barely defeated an enormous armored shark, and finally, how he managed to retrieve the dungeon core alone.

"H-HOLY SHIT!! BOSS!! YOU'RE A F*CKING LEGEND!!"

"S-SHH! You idiot! Lower your voice!"

"O-Oh, sorry, your story was just a bit too epic."

If anyone else heard his story, they would simply sneer in disdain and mock him for being full of crap.

However, Seira knew her boss' capabilities, and that he was someone who never had to lie about his achievements.

Thus, she immediately believed his story, further solidifying his invincible image in her heart.

"Surely the city gave you rewards, right? What did you get?"

This time, Shye couldn't help but stay silent for a few seconds.

'Sigh…it's finally time to tell her, huh?'

"Well, they promoted me to emerald."

"And? That's it? Surely you deserve a lot more after solving a problem no one has been able to for the past three years, no?"

"Yeah, they also promised to give me a box containing all of my rewards, though, I don't know when the guild master would hand it to me. Last but not least, I…will be transferred to the main branch in Valenzia City three months from now…"

Hearing Shye's words, Seira fell silent.

Then, a few moments later, she reacted in a way Shye never expected her to.

"HOLY CRAP!!! You're absolutely unstoppable, boss! I mean, who else could have the skills and achievements to be recommended to the main branch after just eight months of professional adventuring experience?!"

There wasn't even a hint of sadness on her face, only pure excitement.
