Chapter 522 - Steal

Chapter 520: Steal

The Museum was huge and was surrounded by a large green lawn. But the unique thing found in the building was the huge sign hanging on the window on the first floor and the words 'Miracle Museum' was written in big letters.

As soon as they arrived at the door, the guards stopped them and asked them to present their passes and personal IDs. Jessie handed the guard her ID first, followed by Charles.

The Museum's first floor was a vast space composed of numerous shop stalls and galleries. It was a huge tourist attraction and had millions of people visiting and shopping every year.

The Museum was open and was full of people. People were flocking in the gallery to take a glimpse of the priceless paintings, statues, and collections of artifacts.

Charles and Jessie entered the grand hall, took a sneak peek at the artifacts and paintings that paced in the side boxes, and moved up ahead towards the second floor.

That's where the Museum's main attraction was placed, namely, a room on the second floor that contained various priceless artifacts and collections. They were paintings, statuettes, golden statues, gold coins, ancient statues, and books of various topics. Charles's target item 'Draught of the Phoenix' potion was also placed inside that room for the exhibition.

The duo walked past many security guards, acted like they were here to watch the exhibition from time to time, and soon reached that particular room around 7.55 A.M. No, it wasn't a room but appeared more like another grand hall!

Once they reached that room, Charles signaled Jessie to stay outside and walked into it. At that moment, only a few people appeared inside the room, and they were staring at different artifacts.

Charles casually glanced at the surroundings, analyzed all those collections placed in separate glass boxes, and soon shifted his attention towards a particular area.

At that moment, he saw a reddish potion bottle placed inside the glass box and soon walked towards it.

He also activated the [Eyes of the Runes] skill and checked for any magic array placed around the glass.

As he arrived closer towards the box, he saw something invisible surrounding that particular glass box and stopped his footsteps. At the same time, he activated his [Accelerate Thoughts] skill and enchanted his thinking capability.

He first analyzed the outer web structure and soon started to see the core part of the array circle, branch lines responsible for passing information, a unique invisible line that extends towards the alarm siren placed in the room, and so on.

As he explored further, he noticed that a web-like strange pattern extended towards every corner of the glass box, and it looked more like a complicated array circle than a simple one.

[The pattern looks similar to Monitoring Array, Host.] Genesis added.

'I can see that without you mentioning. Do you have any idea about how to deactivate it?'

[Nope.] A short response appeared in his head.

Charles furrowed his brows as he further probed the mysterious web-like magic array and checked for any weaknesses.

To not look suspicious, he casually moved towards the nearby exhibition item and then continued to look for any gap in the array. Although he wasn't a Rune Master, his unique eyes were powerful enough to analyze any rune array in a short time and were capable of pointing out their weaknesses!

Within 1 minute 53 seconds, Charles managed to find a small gap that appeared at the backside of the crystal box and smiled.

Simultaneously, he touched his space ring and made a slight hand movement.

A moment later, a rectangular-shaped potion vial filled with pure water appeared in his hand.

It was the size of his thumb finger and remained well-hidden in his palm.

Once Charles took out that fake potion vial, he touched the unique array circle on the bottle and activated it. The next instant, the transparent bottle turned into reddish-brown color and soon changed into the exact copy of the original one!

After that, Charles cast [Hand of Wonder] skill, released the single invisible string, and let it coil around the fake potion vial. Following that, he made that bottle transparent and let it move towards the crystal box.

At that moment, he also waved his other hand, released another similar invisible string, and let it move towards the alarm siren.

Before long, the invisible string entered the alarm siren, started moving around the mechanism in a zig-zag manner, and stopped them from producing any sound or alerting waves!

On the other hand, the main invisible string twisted the surrounding space itself, moved towards the backside of the crystalline box, and soon entered inside without alerting the web-like array.

The invisible string removed its invisible effect a second later and placed the fake potion bottle inside.

Following that, the invisible string moved towards the original potion vial, encircled its neck area, and turned it transparent.

After that, Charles manipulated the surrounding space like before and pulled it out of the crystalline box with simple finger movement.

In two seconds, the original potion vial appeared in his hand!

'Success!' He hid his excitement and hurriedly put the vial in his coat pocket.

Then, he turned around and walked out of the room silently.

Simultaneously, he took out a pocket watch from his space ring and checked the timer.

'8.03! Three minutes delay than the planned time.' He sighed deeply and soon saw Jessie was walking towards him with a warm smile on her face.

Once she arrived closer to him, she grabbed his arm and whispered something in his ears.

The next instant, Charles nodded his head, and both of them moved towards the staircase that leads to the first floor.

Within two minutes, both reached the first floor and started walking towards the exit.

As they walked towards the exit, more than five security guards stopped them and ordered them to remove the imprint in their space rings.

Charles had long expected this. So, he nodded his head, touched his space ring, and erased the soul imprint for them to check it.

Meanwhile, Jessie placed her purse on the nearby table and did the same.

As the security guards were about to check them, Charles casually put his right hand into the coat pocket, coiled the potion vial with the invisible string, and made it transparent once again.

Then, he casually took out the potion bottle from his coat pocket and yawned while raising his hands forward. Using the opportunity, he controlled the invisible string, moved it towards the outside carriage, and quietly placed the transparent potion vial next to the driver's seat.

While he was doing this, the guards did a brief check-up and let them out of the museum hall.

After that, Charles and Jessie walked out of the museum hall and moved towards the carriage in hurried footsteps.

Before long, Charles arrived next to the carriage, moved towards the front, and took out the potion vial near the driver's seat.

Although coachman had already been seated in the driver's seat, he didn't notice the potion vial all this time and only showed a confused expression at his strange action.

Meanwhile, Charles took back the potion vial and entered the carriage with Jessie.

Then, Jessie sat comfortably on the front seat, extended her hand towards the carriage door, and closed it from inside.

On the other hand, the coachman whipped the horse and started driving the carriage towards the main road.
