FALLING IN LOVE WITH HIM - HER FIRST LOVE

Chapter 96 - Evil Intended Minds

Bianca eyed her friend with an 'Are you serious?' look. But she wasn't really surprised her friend would ask something so stupid. "Why would he agree to do that, Sam?" She asked incredulously. Samantha smiled with conviction, "That's where you come, Bee. You've to convince him somehow. Help me this one time, Bee and I'll win over his heart. I'll make him love me." Samantha begged, and Bianca shook her head in disapproval.

She knew that would never happen. Samantha couldn't understand how deep Hunter's love was for Hera.

Bianca was deep in her thoughts, torn between the two options she'd to choose. She cared deeply for both of her best friends, Ace and Samantha. She didn't want either of them to get hurt..

'This insoluble dilemma!'

She screamed mentally in frustration as she'd to choose between the two unfavourable alternatives. In the end, Samantha won because her tear-soaked cheeks, her hopeful eyes, and her vulnerable state had dominated Bianca's conscience.

"Fine, I'll help you with this one last time. You're my best friend, and I'll do anything for you. But, let me clear one thing for you, Sam. Ace is not just my best friend, but also very special and precious for me. If a time comes where I've to decide between you two, without any second thoughts, I'll choose him. So be careful with whatever you're planning to do. If you hurt him, I'll never forgive you," Bianca warned and concluded with finality.

Her words cut through Samantha's heart, but she masked the hurt. She mentally scoffed at their friendship of years.

'Some best friend you're.'

Samantha couldn't help but feel a bit bitter. She smiled anyway, nodding her head. Bianca made it clear who her priority was.

It didn't matter to Samantha as her priority was Ace Hunter.

'Everything is worth trying if I could win back Ace.'

IN THE DORMITORY OF SPALEV HIGH, Noel and Adelaide were having a secret conversation in the empty corridor.

"You seemed like smitten by Hera for real," Adelaide said. Her eyes, as well as her tone, were accusatory. Noel grinned at her, "Are you turning into a green monster, Ade?" He asked, teasing her. Adelaide moved away, creating some distance between them as they heard footsteps.

They quickly left in search of a better place that would offer them the needed privacy. They walked into the library, and to their delight, it was empty.

"Jokes apart, Ade. We need to make some changes into our earlier plan," Noel said while Adelaide listened with keen interest. She tried to make Hera hate Hunter by pointing out his wrongs. She realised it was difficult than they thought to break them up. The depth of their feelings for each other was too deep. Hera still went back to him, no matter how much they criticised and opposed, trying to convince her.

It wasn't that easy to manipulate Hera. The sweet, innocent girl surprisingly had a strong will power in comparison to her soft heart.

"How about seducing them and creating misunderstandings?" Noel suggested, and Adelaide shook her head in a no. "You know I would do anything for you, Noel. But seducing Ace Hunter is out of the question. Even though he's the most handsome guy in the school, he's too scary, and I get nervous around him," Adelaide confessed.

In the beginning, Adelaide thought of making Hera jealous by getting Hunter's attention. It was their initial plan, but after meeting him, it seemed impossible. He was the total opposite of warm and welcome. His cold attitude and dangerous aura had frightened her. Noel, however, convinced her to do his bidding.

"What happens when I succeed in seducing him? After all, he's the campus heartthrob and school's president. What if I truly fall for him?" Adelaide asked in a playful tone. Noel mock glared at her before pulling her into his arms, and he attacked her mouth with his.

Lost in their own world, Noel and Adelaide didn't see Abigail walking into the library, and she accidentally saw them kissing.

ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CITY, oblivious to evil intended minds conspiring against her, Hera grinned watching the serenity surrounding her. The wind whistled, and the pretty little flowers danced, swaying along with the melody. The air smelt sweeter than sugar as she inhaled deeply.

Two strong arms wrapped around her middle from behind and Hera looked over her shoulder to come face to face with a smiling Hunter. Resting his chin on her shoulder blade, he kissed her on the cheek, under her jaw, and hugged her tight. Hera moaned in disapproval, "Hmm, it's scratchy, get off me, Lucifer," she said, trying to free herself from his arms. He hadn't shaved, and the day-old stubble prickled against her smooth skin.

Hunter chuckled, kissing her neck and turned her around in his arms. "But Lucifer wants to kiss you, Goddess," he said covering her mouth with his before she could utter a no. He kissed her thoroughly, and Hera was panting for oxygen when she pulled away. Scowling at his grinning face, she wiped her lips with the back of her hand.

Hera looked at his swollen pink lips, scrutinising the wound she caused the other night while kissing him. The horizontal cut on his lips now slightly turned into purplish colour. She frowned as she visualised the incident once again.

'How did I bite both of his lips at the same time?'

Her mind was contemplating hard. One could understand biting one of the lips accidentally. But how the hell did she not know that she'd bit both of his lips so hard? She presumed it to hurt, but judging by the grin on his face, it seemed as though he didn't care one bit.

A peck on her lips put an end to her wandering thoughts, and she looked into Hunter's smiling eyes.

"You know, Mrs Hunter, standing in the middle of all these greenery and flowers, with this green dress on, you look like a tall, fat grasshopper," Hunter said, teasing her. Letting out a quiet laugh, Hera jabbed her elbow into his stomach. He fake cried, clutching his middle with his hands. She stepped on his feet, putting all her strength on them as if to crush Hunter's feet under her weight.

Hunter chuckled at her scrunching cute face as she frowned, concentrating on his feet. He wound his arms around her before landing a kiss on her forehead. "You're never going to crush me with your weight, Goddess. I'm stronger," he said in a taunting tone. Scowling, Hera jabbed her finger at his wounded lips, and Hunter winced.

She laughed in victory while attempting to get away from him, but Hunter caught her quickly.

Taking her hand in his, he led her to the breakfast table. Smiling in delight, Hera eyed the plates filled with simple toast sandwiches. "Bread and butter?" Hera asked, taking the chair beside him. "And strawberries with fresh cream, and orange juice," Hunter added as he poured the juice into their glasses. "I could only arrange these for breakfast, sorry," he said, smiling apologetically.

"I'll buy a nice breakfast for you once we reach the city," he said. He knew how much Hera loved food, and toasts weren't enough to quench her hunger. She nodded and took a bite of the sandwich. "You look nice," he said, pointing to her new dress.

Hera scowled. "It's not in my size," she said in disapproval. Hunter chuckled and informed her that Mathew bought the dress. Hera blushed in embarrassment as she remembered, the dress came with innerwear as well. How awkward was it to imagine Mathew buying innerwear for her?

Hunter cleared his throat, and Hera peeked a glance at him. "Finish your breakfast, Goddess, we're leaving in an hour," he said. Hera lifted her eyes to meet his shining purple orbs and asked with her mouth full of food, "So soon? I loved this place," she said, chewing her bread. Hunter smirked, leaning back in his seat. "You said the same thing before leaving the resort too," he said, teasing her.

Hera ignored him and ate her toast in silence.

"Don't worry, Goddess. We'll come back some other time, I promise. But for now, I've to reach home as soon as possible. I don't have much time to prepare for the tests," he said, drinking his juice. Hera rolled her eyes and blew a raspberry.

"I'm sorry for cutting your honeymoon short though," he said, and Hera gave him a dirty look, kicking his foot under the table. Hunter laughed, winking at her.

They finished their food in silence, and Hunter packed the remaining strawberries in a small fruit container for Hera. She reminded him to bring the orchids from the kitchen. "No need, I'll buy you fresh flowers if you want," he offered, but Hera wanted to keep the orchids until they stay fresh.

Those orchids were too precious for her.

After all, it was the first time that her Mr Hunter had bought her flowers.

"I want it, Hunter," she snapped in an annoyed tone and Hunter held up his hands in surrender. He nodded and obediently rushed to the kitchen to fetch the flowers.
