"It's not that she objects to marrying you. It's just that she doesn't want something like this to become public." The cat said again.
"Did she say that?" asked Levi.
"Yes, when she discussed it with me after I teased her many times. However, she wasn't sure you would agree. She thinks that if you guys get married at the civil office, it can at least prevent her father from forcing her to have a big wedding."
"..."
"So, what do you think?" The cat finally put the question to Levi.
Now everything would depend on his decision.
Levi felt like laughing at being asked about it.
"Let's wait for her to come, my answer will depend on her," he replied, smiling slightly.
Romance with a woman always made life sensational. Levi quite enjoyed it despite his many life experiences.
At least, Charlotte was a unique woman in his life.
He did not say anything more and continued to wait.
Occasionally he looked around.
The mansion's two servants were in the kitchen, cooking.
They occasionally looked out and then whispered, as if discussing something interesting that was going on.
Fortunately, Charlotte wasn't really hiding in her room.
Not long after, she came out wearing a long, loose nightgown.
Her hair looked wet but was already loose, covering her ears to half of her cheeks.
Maybe she was a bit far away, but the fragrant scent of her body after bathing radiated all the way to the sofa where Levi was sitting.
Shinta observed her and her eyes shone brightly, as if she was satisfied with Charlotte's current appearance.
Any man seeing her now would practically fantasize how wonderful life would be if he had her as a wife.
She was not only the pinnacle of beauty, but also elegance.
With casual flip-flops, she took a step.
Perhaps she had prepared well, so she didn't look the least bit awkward.
She looked very confident and nonchalant.
Her steps were so charming and smooth, the steps of noble ladies who maintain honor, something that ordinary people cannot master.
Arriving at the sofa side, she sat on the main sofa, crossing her legs while her blue eyes stared at Levi.
"So, what's your answer?" she said, speaking directly, without mincing words.
Levi did not expect her confidence to reach this point.
"You seriously want to marry me?" Levi asked.
When he gave her that question, her expression ended up being somewhat muddled.
"Just answer my question," she said in a high tone.
"It's about seriousness, I mean, whether this is a real marriage or just a fake marriage to solve a problem. I just want a serious marriage even if the woman is you. After all, this will be my first marriage."
In his head, Levi thought, 'my first marriage in this world.'
"What?" The woman seemed as if she was going to jump at his answer.
Her breathing began to quicken.
With her personality and the things between them, it was obvious she only dared to think of a fake wedding.
However, Levi apparently wanted a serious marriage.
Did that mean he really had desires for her?
Charlotte could not calm down when thinking about that.
It was one thing if he acted like he was the same age in front of her, but to have a serious marriage with her?
Didn't he realize who she was?
How would she show her household to his mother when she returned later?
Charlotte's head was filled with questions now.
Her eyes flickered as she looked into Levi's eyes that looked as if they had no awkwardness at all.
"Levi, I know I'm charming to all young men, but you're different from those stupid boys." She finally said something.
She thought this matter needed to be resolved.
"Tsk! Tsk!" Shinta suddenly chuckled.
"Miss, any man with big ambitions must have a big ego. Of course, one of those egos is to have you as a wife. All men will think if they succeed in fulfilling that ego, then they will have an extraordinary destiny in cultivation while if they fail, it means they are destined for mediocrity. In many worlds, such thoughts come to many young people who have just started cultivation." The cat said.
Levi glanced at her at her words, smiling slightly.
When Charlotte seemed to want to ask if he had such an ego, he said, "no, it's not because of ego."
Actually until now, Levi also found it hard to believe such a relationship between him and Charlotte because all these years of his life, he looked at her as a middle-aged woman who was a close friend of his mother.
If married to her, he could not imagine what his mother and father would think when they saw him and Charlotte as husband and wife.
Basically, he was awkward too, but he didn't want to be taken advantage of, which is why he gave Charlotte the answer that he only wanted a serious marriage if she wanted to marry him.

What if Charlotte suddenly lost her mind and agreed to his terms?

"Then what's your reason?" asked Charlotte.
Shinta now didn't speak anymore as she felt Levi wasn't lying at all.
His eyes showed honesty when he said this was not because of ego.
"No need to think about it, you'd better think about how you're going to decide this," Levi replied.
He stood up after saying that, then took a step towards the stairs.
Charlotte stared at him unblinkingly, continuing to stare at him even as he climbed the stairs.
Right now, she seemed to have forgotten that this was her home and Levi was just someone she was hosting so to have gone first to the room while she was still in the living room was an impertinence she should protest against.
