Doomsday: I Become Invincible By Picking Up

Chapter 21

C21 – You Little Brat

Loong Chen’s brows furrowed, and he turned around to find a burly Baldie standing beside him.

This robust Baldie radiated a menacing aura, clearly signaling he wasn’t the benevolent type. But could Loong Chen be intimidated?

“Proceed to the back and join the queue.”

Loong Chen delivered this instruction with an unruffled countenance.

Hearing Loong Chen’s words, the man’s eyes slitted, his face contorting into a ruthless expression.

Nobody dared to defy his directives.

“You little punk, barely sprouting any hair on your body. What business do you have taking this test? Step aside, and if I’m feeling generous, maybe I’ll toss you a few bucks as a reward.”

Loong Chen cast a sidelong glance at Baldie, a smile playing at his lips.

“Putting aside whether all the hair on my body has grown or not, at least I have some hair on my head.”

Loong Chen looked Baldie in the eye, his smile unwavering.

Laughter instantly rippled through the surroundings. His remark held true.

Yet, there were also those who derided Loong Chen.

“This kid is an absolute fool. He’s clearly dwarfed in stature compared to that Baldie, yet he dares provoke him. Is he asking for a thrashing?”

The speaker was a young man in his twenties who stood ahead of Loong Chen.

His voice wasn’t hushed, making his words audible to many around, including Loong Chen himself. Nonetheless, Loong Chen merely glanced at the individual, withholding any response.

On the contrary, the burly Baldie’s face darkened.

“Insolent brat, you’re truly a fledgling calf unafraid of tigers. Allow me to impart a lesson on behalf of your parents.”

Baldie’s voice erupted like a firecracker. In an instant, the people around instinctively scattered, fearful of being caught in the crossfire.

Pitying gazes were directed at Loong Chen from the onlookers.

While they also disapproved of line-cutting, they were well aware that Baldie was someone it was best not to provoke. Helping Loong Chen wasn’t within their reach.

Baldie’s fist, about the size of a sandbag, surged toward Loong Chen’s face. Were he an ordinary person, this punch might have left his mind reeling.

However, just as everyone anticipated Loong Chen’s imminent launch from this blow, something unexpected happened – Loong Chen actually caught Baldie’s fist.

Not only that, Loong Chen’s face remained composed, as if he had effortlessly managed to catch the punch.

Despite his lean frame, why was his strength so remarkable?”

“No wonder he dared to face off with Baldie. He must possess some hidden prowess. Baldie has truly met his match this time.”

“I’ve held a grudge against Baldie for ages. Dude, you’re amazing.”

Loong Chen’s display of strength sent shockwaves through the onlookers. Even the young man who had previously taunted him displayed a shift in expression.

Recalling his earlier mockery of Loong Chen, he now felt the stares of those around him were infused with mockery.

“He merely resisted a punch from Baldie. It’s not that significant. Maybe Baldie seemed tough, but deep down, he’s just a weakling.”

With a stern face, the young man snorted dismissively.

At this juncture, Baldie truly felt indignant. He had exerted his utmost strength, yet the slight Loong Chen proved immovable, akin to a wall.

“Teach me a lesson in lieu of my parents? You’re not worthy. Beat it!”

Emitting a cold snort, Loong Chen seized Baldie’s wrist and flung him with force. Baldie lost control, soaring out of the Registration Hall.

Loong Chen simply clapped his hands, his demeanor undisturbed, as though he had no involvement in the recent events.
