Dominator with Endless Level-up System

Chapter 2

C2 – Talent!

Lee Tian’s fangs sank deep into the spider’s head, delivering the fatal blow that ended its life.

[Host has slain a Low Rank Level-2 spider. Experience Points: +2. Evolution Points: +0!]

[Congratulations, Host, on acquiring the Spider’s Innate Skill: ‘Silk Spinning’!]

As the giant spider breathed its last, Lee Tian’s mind echoed with two System Beeps.

But what exactly were ‘Evolution Points’?

And ‘Silk Spinning’?

“System, why did I receive +0 Evolution Points?”

“The Host must defeat a creature of at least Middle Rank to earn Evolution Points.”

Lee Tian was taken aback.

If the spider was Low Rank Level-2, what then constituted a Middle Rank creature?

He was just a tiny ant!

Resigned to the whims of fate, Lee Tian sighed before inquiring further, “What exactly is the Innate Skill ‘Silk Spinning’ I’ve just gained?”

“Upon defeating other creatures, the Host has a chance to inherit the Innate Skill of the vanquished. Once acquired, the Host can utilize that skill at will.”

“So, with this new skill, I can spin silk like a spider?”

“Correct! Congratulations, Host!”

“Do I get a reward for the right answer?”

“No.”

The system’s cold response dashed Lee Tian’s hopeful spirit.

Grasping the system’s explanation, he mused aloud, “Can I actually spin silk?”

While pondering, he instinctively glanced back at his sizable, plump posterior, feeling an odd unease.

Just then, the Big Black Ant reappeared before Lee Tian, bellowing, “9527, what are you doing here?”

Caught off guard by his own backside, Lee Tian hadn’t noticed the ant’s approach and stiffened in fright.

But amidst his fear, a thick strand of white silk shot from his rear!

By sheer chance, his backside was aimed at the Big Black Ant, and the silk ensnared it completely.

“Number 9527, you’re a Spider Clan spy!” The Big Black Ant, caught by the neck in the silk, screamed in agony and glowered at Lee Tian with venomous eyes.

The look in their eyes was akin to that of a movie protagonist, filled with loathing as they stared down an undercover enemy.

“You’ve got it all wrong—I’m not a spy! I’m an ant, just like you!” Lee Tian cried out in desperation, but the more frantic he became, the more spider silk he produced!

“You’re no ant, you’re a spider!”

The Big Black Ant’s shouts grew weaker until it could no longer resist, eventually succumbing to death.

“Host has eliminated a Low Rank Level 0 Black Ant. Experience Points: +0, Evolution Points: +0!”

Strangled by the spider silk Lee Tian had inadvertently released, the Big Black Ant met its end.

Lee Tian realized that there was no reward for hunting creatures of level 0.

Once he regained his composure, he mastered the technique to retract the spider silk.

“Please, don’t hold it against me—it was an accidental kill!”

Gazing at the lifeless body of the Big Black Ant, Lee Tian was consumed with guilt.

However, in that instant, he detected an ominously dangerous scent.

A pervasive killing intent, as if saturating the very air around him, surged in his direction.
