Divine Mastering Dragon System

Chapter 5

C5 – The Healing Arts

“Eh? He’s still alive.”

After handling the butler and the fickle guards, Choo Qin took his time to survey the ruins of the castle and the guard who had taken a hit for him.

He had assumed this “good guy” was a goner, but surprisingly, the man had only passed out from the intense pain of a broken arm.

“Wind… Fire…” Choo Qin mused, rubbing his head, “If it’s magic, there should be a Healing Art for this.”

His gaze shifted, and the magic in his hands began to flow, enveloping the “good guy” guard.

“Of course, magic can heal.”

Choo Qin’s heart lifted as the magic cocooned the guard, mending his body. At the same time, the Upgrade System conveniently offered up a skill option.

“You have mastered the skill: Beginner Healing Arts.”

“Beginner Healing Arts (0/100): Can rapidly heal injuries.”

“Upgrade, upgrade.”

“Ultimate Healing Arts (Max Level): Perfectly heals injuries, including regrowing limbs. The self-healing effect is proportional to the magic.”

Two million Experience Points later, he had maxed out his newly acquired Healing Arts.

The Experience Points from defeating Zhen Yin were substantial, but they paled in comparison to the previous hundred million.

“Beep. You harbor a deep resentment. Experience Point +821…”

“Beep. You think the Experience Points are adding up too slowly. Experience Point +111…”

“Beep. You’re longing for a dragon. Experience Point +91…”

As the Experience Points ticked up, Choo Qin remembered his Raising Dragon System and stopped fretting – a windfall of Experience Points could happen any day now.

“Cough… Cough…”

The Ultimate Healing Arts worked wonders, the guard’s body and even his severed arm regrew before his very eyes.

Unfortunately, the absence of sleeves made for a rather amusing sight.

“You’re Chai Jiu, aren’t you?”

Choo Qin scrutinized the guard who had bravely shielded him, recognizing the familiar contours of his face and finally recalling his name.

“Your Highness… Yes, Your Highness, I am Chai Jiu.”

Chai Jiu was momentarily dazed, his mind still caught in the altercation between the butler and the king from just a second ago. He hadn’t anticipated that in the blink of an eye, everything would change so drastically.

Where had the butler gone? And the other guards? Why had they all disappeared?

His arm had been broken, hadn’t it? How had it regenerated?

“Don’t overthink it. I’ve taken care of them. From now on, you’re my butler and Guard Commander. You’re in charge of this castle,” came the decisive voice.

“You’ve been with me for about seven or eight years now, haven’t you?”

“Yes, I was nothing but a beggar before His Highness took me in, and… I just barely managed to become His Highness’s personal guard.”

Choo Qin smirked, unimpressed. Considering that Loser Royal Highness and his cunning butler, it was a wonder they could afford guards at all.

“Are you experiencing any other issues with your body?”

“No… no issues.”

“Good. If there’s nothing else, then start thinking about how to repair the castle. Since you’ve shown a willingness to save me, I’ll take you under my wing from now on.”

“Feel free to use the funds in the treasury. I recall there are a few villages within the Thundery Castle’s domain. You might consider hiring some servants and maids.”

“Actually, forget the servants. Just bring on a few more maids.”

With a few nonchalant orders and a look of astonishment on Chai Jiu’s face, Choo Qin entrusted him with the entire mess.

Choo Qin, meanwhile, turned his attention to the Dragon Egg, examining it meticulously in his mind.
