Chapter 190: Let's start
Strax returned home, and the first thing he saw was four extremely embarrassed women... It was hard to understand what had happened; they were all blushing and seemed to have been talking about something truly shameful...
"I can't believe you..." Beatrice said, looking at Samira. "How could you—"
"It's better to avoid talking about it... Wow... that was revealing, I didn't know she was so perverted..." Monica interrupted her daughter and continued, "And here I am, called Lustful Maid... Samira is much more perverted."
"W-What are you talking about! It's his fault! He wanted to do it 'in that place'!" Samira said, pointing at the man who was watching the situation in disbelief...
"I don't want to intrude, but... could you keep the details between you? I'm not a fan of being accused of being—"
"A pervert like you has no say here." Samira interrupted him immediately. "It's your fault, take responsibility." She concluded.
"Hey, I'm calm, I didn't do anything you didn't want!" Strax said, raising his hands in surrender.
"Well, you!" Samira stood up, ready to attack him... But...
"Am I interrupting an intimate moment?" Yennifer, Cristine's twin sister, suddenly appeared by entering through the window.
"Oh, it's been a while since I've seen you, how are you?" Strax asked, scrutinizing the woman who looked somewhat worried.
Yennifer looked at them before sighing and admitting, "We have a lot of problems, actually..." she said, coming into the room and closing the window.
Strax frowned, noticing that she was genuinely concerned.
"Tell me, what happened?" Strax asked, trying to understand what situation could cause such a reaction and expression from her.
The room grew more serious, and the blushes and embarrassing conversations stopped immediately as Yennifer prepared to explain the details.
Yennifer took a deep breath before starting to explain.
"General Kryssia is in town. And that's not all. The news of her presence has caused many of our targets to start relocating. They are reorganizing to avoid being caught while the General is here." Yennifer said, looking directly at Strax...
He knew about this General; when he went to the White Falcon, he warned them about her. Cristine also knew, though she hadn't had time to warn Yennifer because... Well, she was busy 'not regretting' her choices...
Yennifer's revelation was a shock to everyone. The plan to eliminate the Black Association targets had been carefully crafted, and the news that they were relocating complicated things even further.
Once again, another problem had arisen... It was as if the universe wanted them to stop this plan immediately, but...
"Kryssia…" Samira murmured, her eyes narrowing in concentration. "Her presence might mean that our targets are now more protected. We need to act quickly and intercept them..." She murmured, it was the most obvious plan, taking advantage of their relocation to assassinate them on the way.
Beatrice, who had been observing the situation with a calculating expression, spoke up.
"We need a new plan. We can't act the way we originally planned. We need to identify and eliminate the targets one by one before they manage to fully reorganize." She commented.
Yennifer nodded in agreement and approached the table, opening a folder with information about the Black Association. The names of the executives and their positions were presented in a series of documents.
"I took longer than expected, but I managed to get most of the heads we need to eliminate." Yennifer said. That was what she had been doing while she was out of sight, analyzing and gathering the information she had.
"So, who are these executives?" Monica asked, her tone showing a mix of curiosity and concern.
Strax looked at the documents and began to list the targets, one by one.
"First, we have the head of the Association, Lord Malek, a man of great influence and power. He is the mastermind behind the entire operation, and his elimination would be a significant blow to the organization." He commented, while Cristine took another of the papers.
"Next, we have Lady Selene, the director of operations. She is responsible for coordinating the Association's activities and ensuring everything runs as planned. She is known for being extremely shrewd and cautious." He said, passing the paper to Yennifer.
"Drake Bloodstone is the head of security for the Association. He commands a large number of men and is known for his ability to keep operations secure and discreet."
"And finally, we have Viktor Blackthorn, the Association's accountant. He is responsible for managing the funds and ensuring that the money is well-administered. Although he is not directly involved in daily operations, his position is crucial to the organization's maintenance."
The women listened attentively, absorbing the information provided. The tension in the room was palpable, and each of them understood the magnitude of the task ahead.
"We need a detailed plan to deal with each of these individuals," Cristine said, her voice firm. "And we need to act quickly before they disperse further; we have only a few hours for this."
"I agree," Strax responded, looking at the documents. "Let's analyze the position and routine of each one. If we can find a gap in their daily routines, we can eliminate them one by one without General Kryssia or her men noticing."
"Let's start with Lord Malek," Samira suggested. "He likely has a much stronger security detail. It will be more difficult to reach him, but if we succeed, it will be a significant step. Besides, someone with 'Lord' in their name is likely to act extravagantly, making him easier to find. With that, we can locate the others before the auction starts."
"And what about Lady Selene?" Monica asked, looking at the document with her name. "She should be our second priority. Her elimination will significantly weaken the Association's coordination."
"Alright," Strax agreed. "We need to proceed with the assumption that we must act with precision and without raising suspicion. I don't want to get caught up in this, but if necessary, we'll have to fight with everything we've got," he murmured.
The group then began discussing the details of the new plan, each person contributing their ideas and suggestions. The conversation was intense and strategy-filled, with each detail being analyzed meticulously. They knew they needed to be meticulous and careful to ensure every step was executed precisely.
"Let's divide our tasks," Strax suggested. "Each of us will focus on a specific target. We need an infiltration and elimination plan that minimizes the risk of detection."
"I agree," Beatrice said. "Let's start putting together the details for each mission. Preparation will be crucial to ensure everything goes as planned."
As the group continued to discuss the plan, Yennifer observed with a look of relief. She wasn't sure where this newfound confidence was coming from, but she felt lighter. At least it wouldn't be a full frontal assault, which could really be a huge problem.
Especially with the difference in numbers, but eliminating them one by one… it was more advantageous, not just advantageous but easier, dealing with small groups is much simpler than fighting in a confined space.
'She seems happy...' Yennifer thought, seeing her sister's expression, much softer than that vengeful woman who only saw revenge ahead... 'I hope she doesn't still have that crazy idea in mind... I'll have to intervene if she continues with that stupid plan,' she thought, "Let's continue," she heard from the only man in the room.
After several minutes of discussion and planning, the group was ready to start executing their new strategy.
"Yennifer," Strax called her attention, "Go to Evelyn and inform her about the change in plans. Tell Lyanna to stay alert with the Royal Soldiers in the area." Strax ordered, and she had no choice but to nod. "I'll return before we start." She said as she opened the window and disappeared, blending into the air.
"She's fast..." Beatrice murmured, "She has to be..." Monica commented, watching Strax turn around.
"I want all of you to stay extremely alert from now on. It's no longer training... keep in contact with each other and, above all, prioritize your safety," he said, concerned, and turned to Samira, "You know what to do; go talk to Rogue," he ordered.
"Tsk, having to deal with that little bitch again... oh well, I really love you, you know? You need to appreciate me more," Samira complained, puffing out her chest. "Sure, sure, if I were to appreciate you more, I'd have to be a god to give you everything you deserve," he joked.
"Now go, my love," he added, and Samira smiled with a sparkle in her eyes, her momentary irritation fading. She then turned and slipped out the window, moving with the same agility as Yennifer.
As the women dispersed to their tasks, Strax surveyed the empty room for a moment, contemplating the challenges ahead. He knew that every move had to be carefully planned and executed to ensure the success of the mission.
"You two... what are the chances of me defeating a woman at nearly Emperor level?" Strax asked.
"None... even with dual assimilation, you would likely lose," Tiamat replied.
"I see... then I'll have to handle everything in silence." He said, his eyes taking on a reptilian quality. "Ouroboros, can you enhance the Night King's Step as you did with Black Ice?" He inquired.
"Of course." That was all he needed to hear.
