Chapter 570
Chapter 570
News of Siegfried’s one-sided victory against Kaosin spread like wildfire all over the world. Kaosin was recognized even abroad as South Korea’s most promising amateur PVP specialist, so the news of him losing one-sidedly was more than enough to attract the attention of all BNW fans.
[Breaking News] Kaosin lost to the Rising Star, Siegfried!
[VSports/Breaking] Siegfried beat Kaosin twice!
[Breaking News] Rumors of Siegfried being an abuser found to be untrue!
The front pages of most online news outlets were plastered with articles of Siegfried’s victory against Kaosin, but that was not the end of it.
[Official Statement] Hive Games Entertainment: “Our investigations have concluded that Siegfried is not an abuser.”
The beehive had even published an official statement about the accusations that Siegfried was an abuser.
We ourselves suspected Siegfried’s impeccable arena record.
His perfect record seemed too good to be true, and anyone would find it hard to believe.
Thus, we have decided to investigate the matter to the best of our abilities yet we were left stunned by the result of our investigations.

He is no longer under suspicion of being an abuser.
We would like to emphasize that he is not invincible, nor does he have such an advantage like some rumors swirling around are saying.
He happens to be extremely talented in PVP, and luck has also played a small part in his perfect win streak.
We are convinced, and we have no doubts that he is one of the best PVP players in the game at the moment.
In fact, he might be able to go head-to-head against most active pro gamers these days and...

We are looking forward to him in the upcoming Super Rookie Tournament and...

The beehive officially declared Siegfried innocent of all game abuse accusations.
The Halo of Innocence, the one-on-one against Kaosin, and the official statement from the beehive were enough to emancipate Siegfried from all accusations. He had proven to the world that he had obtained his perfect record thanks to his skills.
Not that he really cared...
“Ugh...! T-Too much work...!”
Siegfried was cooped up in his office in the Proatine Kingdom and was struggling with a mountain of paperwork. The expansion of the kingdom’s territories meant they had to start numerous projects to integrate them into the kingdom, and these projects all required Siegfried’s approval.
A few hours later...
“Phew! And that’s a wrap! It’s time to rest!” Siegfried exclaimed.
“Kyu! Are you done, owner punk?”
“I’ll never be done,” Siegfried grumbled. Then, he pointed at a stack of documents and asked, “Don’t you see that right there?”
“Kyu?”
“I’m just taking a break.”
“R-Really? Good luck!”
“Ah, forget about it. Let’s go to the arena.”
“Kyu? Are you going to practice?”
“Yeah.”
“Alright! Let’s go! Kyuuu!”
Siegfried decided to put aside his work for a while and go to the arena instead to practice for the upcoming Super Rookie Tournament.
***
Siegfried soon found himself at the arena.
“...?”
He blinked his eyes a few times, wondering what was happening in the arena. He was currently standing at the Hall of War God, which was the highest tier arena.
There were knight templars lined up on both sides of the entrance and—
“Atten... tion! His Majesty, King Siegfried van Proa, is entering the arena!” a knight templar exclaimed at the top of his lungs.
Bam!
The knight templars stomped their feet once before drawing their swords to form an arch.
“W-What the hell is this?!” Siegfried shrieked in horror. His face turned ghastly pale, thinking the Church of Martial God had taken a play out of the Bavarian Workshop’s BDSM humiliation playbook.
But that was not the end of it...
Tadadada! Tadadada! Tadadada!
A marching band playing every single instrument used in important military ceremonies appeared out of nowhere. Then, a knight templar walked up to Siegfried, bowed, and said, “Please, allow me to escort you, Your Majesty.”
“W-What’s going on?” Siegfried asked, looking flustered.
“We have prepared this grand welcome for Your Majesty in hopes that this would appease you for our previous transgressions.”
“Are you sure you’re trying to appease me...?”
“Pardon?”
“Sigh...” Siegfried let out a sigh with his head down as if he were some criminal being escorted away by the templar knights.
‘Argh! This is so embarrassing...!’
However, the Adventurers thought the complete opposite of what Siegfried was thinking.
“Wow...”
“Look at the treatment he’s getting.”
“Has anyone ever been treated like that before?”
“That’s so cool...”
The Adventurers were extremely jealous after seeing how the knight templars had welcomed Siegfried, and it was only natural for them to be jealous, as it was basic human nature to feel jealous whenever someone else was being served by others.
In addition, most of the Adventurers dreamed of glory, and being served by others was one of the things that symbolized their success.
Siegfried was embarrassed by the attention he was given, but the Adventurers were extremely jealous of him right now.
‘Let’s run!’ Siegfried thought, trying to get away from the Adventurers and knight templars as fast as he could while being completely oblivious to the fact that everyone was jealous of him.
Unfortunately, that was not the end of what he called "humiliation."
“Hello, I am from the Al Jazeera pro gaming team. Our owner, Prince Mansour, is very impressed with your skills and would like to sign you as one of our players. Please tell us the salary you desire, and we will provide it.”
“I am from Sky Games pro gaming team, and we are one of the teams competing in the top-tier league of China. Do you have a moment to chat? We would like to discuss the possibility of you joining our team. Ah, please feel free to name your price too!”
“We are Team Diglett from the United States of America! Do you have any interest in competing at the highest level? The world’s biggest pro gaming league awaits you, Adventurer! Now, I want you to think of how much you’re worth, and we will give you more than that!”
Representatives from the pro gaming teams around the world blocked Siegfried’s path to recruit him.
‘A-Al Jazeera pro gaming team?!’ Siegfried was shocked. He imagined himself moving halfway across the globe and living under the sweltering heat of the desert.
“N-No! I’m not interested!” Siegfried shouted and pushed his way through the recruiters.
However, the overseas pro gaming teams were not the only ones aiming to recruit him.
“What do you think of debuting in the most competitive league in the world and becoming the best rather than being remembered as someone who had gone overseas to chase after money?”
“We can't pay as much as the foreign teams, but staying in Korea will be the best decision for your career!
“You will be guaranteed a position in the starting roster!”
The representatives of Korean pro gaming teams appeared and blocked Siegfried's path, fervently wooing him into joining their team.
“A word, please!”
“Just ten minutes! Please give me ten minutes of your time for an interview!”
To make matters worse, droves of reporters rushed at Siegfried, hoping to score an interview with him. People from all walks of life with their own agendas came crashing at Siegfried like a tidal wave, sweeping him away like a buoy drifting in the ocean.
Siegfried’s reaction to his current predicament was to—
Shwoong!
—Run away.
“W-Wait! Where are you going?!”
“Wait for me!”
“Excuse me! Sir Siegfried!”
“Catch him!”
The recruiters from the pro gaming teams and the reporters chased after him, but there was no way they could catch him. His title "Pesky Brat" gave Siegfried a massive Movement Speed boost, making it impossible for them to follow him.
***
“Ughh... that was such a ruckus...” Siegfried groaned and shook his head.
He finally managed to run away from the arena.
“Can’t they just leave me alone? Damn it...”
“Kyu? You’re so lucky to be famous, owner punk!”
“Lucky? What’s so lucky about that? It’s so troublesome!”
“Kyuu! They’re attracted to you because of your ability! Quit it with your first world problems!”
“I know, but...” Siegfried grumbled. Then, he said, “I’m already so busy preparing for the tournament.”
“Kyu?”
“How can I waste time doing interviews or talking to pro gaming teams when I’m already so behind? Also, I have no plans of becoming a pro gamer. That’s just not my style.”
“Kyu! Is that so?!”
“I don’t want to be in a position where I can’t do what I want because of some stupid contract.”
“Kyu! I understand what you mean!”
“Anyway, let’s go.”
“Where are we going? Kyu?”
“To the Bavarian Workshop.”
Siegfried decided it would be impossible to train today at the arena, so he headed straight for the Bavarian Workshop to check on the PVP gear set he had requested from Quandt.
Siegfried donned a hooded robe before going to the workshop. The Church of Martial God had already "humiliated" him, and he was not planning on getting humiliated for the second time on the same day.
“They probably won’t recognize me if I do this,” Siegfried muttered confidently. Then, he wore the Metamorphosis Mask just in case the hood failed to do its job before entering the Bavarian Workshop.
However, it turned out that he didn't have to disguise himself, as the workshop hadn't prepared any humiliation play for him.
“W-What...?” Siegfried muttered in horror after arriving in front of the Bavarian Workshop.
The workshop's front yard had become pandemonium itself.
“K-Kuheok...!”
“H-Help me...!”
“Reinforcements! We need reinforcements...!”
The watchmen stationed at the gates of the workshop were moaning in agony, but they were not the only ones there. Hundreds of soldiers and knights were strewn dead across the ground. Some of them had been torn apart into unrecognizable pieces.
The Bavarian Workshop was always wary of its prestige, so it would always go all out for the sake of maintaining its appearance. However, the workshop was painted with the blood of the knights and soldiers today; it no longer looked as prestigious and dignified.
Siegfried undid his disguise and ran to the nearest knight. “Are you alright?! Hang in there! Drink this!”
The knight drank the potion that Siegfried had brought to his lips. “Cough! Cough!”
“Slowly. Drink it slowly.”
The knight immediately recognized Siegfried. “K-King... Siegfried... Hurry... inside the workshop...”
“What?”
“An extremely powerful person has attacked the workshop... You must stop him or else—Argh!”
The knight vomited a huge amount of blood before breathing his last despite being fed a potion. The potion was a top-tier potion, but there was only so much it could do when the knight was already at death’s door.
“Just what in the world happened here...?” Siegfried muttered in horror. Then, he shook his head and said, “Hamchi.”
“Kyuu!”
“Stay here and help the wounded.”
“Alright! Hamchi will take care of this place, so don’t worry! Kyuuu!”
“Thanks.”
Siegfried rushed into the workshop, and his jaw dropped the moment he walked into the workshop.
“Oh my god...”
The workshop was covered in blood.
Just what in the world happened here?
‘Quandt-nim!’ Siegfried rushed into the depths of the workshop and headed straight for the Hometown of Death, just in case Quandt was still alive.
Fortunately, Quandt was still alive, albeit barely.
“Quandt-nim!”
“K-King Siegfried...!”
Quandt’s condition was so bad that he basically had one foot in his grave.
“What in the world happened here? Wait, hurry up and drink this first!” Siegfried exclaimed before feeding Quandt a top-tier potion and applying first aid to the latter's wounds.
“H-He’s back...” Quandt said with much difficulty.
“He? Who are you talking about?”
“That man... he came back to life...”
“Huh?”
“Weapon Master... Shakiro...”
‘Huh?' Siegfried doubted his ears. 'What did he just say?’
