Chapter 57: Chapter 57 : Abyss Gate_1
The next morning, Felix and the others gathered in the dining hall for breakfast. Jarvis sat among them, his face expressionless as usual. Felix looked at Jarvis and said, "Jarvis, I have something for you."
Jarvis glanced at Felix without changing his expression and asked, "What is it?"
"Well, I've been thinking. Since you're going to be staying with us for a while and your strength hasn't fully recovered, you might get bored just hanging around the mansion doing nothing. So, I've decided to give you a job," Felix explained.
"What job?" Jarvis inquired.
Felix smiled and waved his hand, causing a neat black suit to appear on the table. "From now on, you are the butler of the Morningstar Family. What do you think?" Felix asked.
"You want me to be a butler?" Jarvis seemed confused.
Felix nodded.
"I don't know anything about butler duties, as I told you before I only know how to kill " Jarvis said.
"You don't have to worry about not knowing anything about butler duties. The maids here can teach you, and having you here in the mansion will help keep the children safe," Felix reassured him.
After a moment of thought, Jarvis nodded. "Alright."
"Good," Felix said with a smile and a nod.
" Big bro I'm done, big sis Gwendolyn and I are going to the restaurant " Nixie stood up and bid Felix goodbye before she and Gwendolyn hurriedly left the dining hall.
"You guys be careful on the way " Felix looked at both of them leaving the dining hall and shouted but they were already gone.
Felix shook his head and looked at Trinity and Brixton," When are two going to the Adventurers Guild? ".
"Tomorrow " Trinity answered.
Felix frowned," But didn't you say you will go today? ".
"Well that big guy Brixton appetite is simply increasing day by day, so I've asked the maids to prepare a lot of food, I'm afraid this guy might eat me if he doesn't have anything to eat if we go there without preparing " Trinity explained.
Felix nodded, Brixton increasing appetite is really scary, this guy can literally eat a whole cow now.
"Why don't you give him some Magical Beasts meat?" Jarvis suggested.
Felix looked at him, "What do you mean?"
"I believe eating it will makes him stronger right?," Jarvis said.
"Yeah," Felix nodded.
"Then give him the meat of Magical Beasts. It contains dense Mana which can help him get stronger, satisfy his hunger, and the blood essence of Magical Beasts is also very beneficial," Jarvis elaborated.
Felix thought for a moment and then nodded.
"By the way, where is Zephyr? I haven't seen him since yesterday," Felix asked Trinity.
Trinity glanced at Felix, "Since you decided to lock him up if he fails to breakthrough Tier 3 in three months, he has locked himself up in the Mana Cultivation Room."
"Oh," Felix nodded in realization. His face lit up with a smile, as he was really worried that Zephyr's talent would go to waste if he continued to be lazy.
-----------------------------
Time passed and in a blink of an eye it was already night.
During the day, Felix didn't do much except spend time with the children, playing games and having fun.
Nixie and Gwendolyn had returned from the restaurant, eaten dinner, and gone to bed.
Inside the mansion, in one of the Mana Cultivation Rooms, faint fluctuations could be felt.
The room was covered in dense, inky black mists, creating an eerie darkness. The room was so quiet that only the faint sound of heartbeats could be heard.
After a while, the fluctuations intensified, and the black mists started to roll and boil and started to spin and form a small tornado in the center of the room.
As time passed, the tornado shrank, and after three minutes, the black mists had significantly reduced in size.
Sitting in the center of the room, Zephyr's figure was revealed as black mists continued to enter his body.
After a few minutes, all the black mists in the Mana Cultivation Room had entered Zephyr's body. Continue your journey on m-v-l-e-m-p-y-r
Slowly opening his eyes, Zephyr revealed his deep black eyes that seemed like they could swallow anyone who looked into them.
Exhaling softly, black mists escaped from Zephyr's mouth, lingering for a moment before dissipating completely.
Standing up, Zephyr clenched his fist and nodded with a satisfied smile. "One step closer to my goal of not being locked up," he thought to himself with a smile.
Walking out of the Mana Cultivation Room, Zephyr looked up at the three huge silvery white moons hanging in the sky.
Narrowing his eyes, he muttered, "Now let's get this over with quickly." With that, Zephyr began to fade and a second later, he disappeared, leaving only the sounds of insects crying in the deep night.
In the slums of Bridgemoor City, darkness covered everything. The barking of dogs and the chirping of crickets could be heard from time to time.
Inside a two-story building deep in the slums, a group of about twenty people were having a conversation in a room.
At the end of the room, a man in his thirties sat on a chair slightly above the rest, looking down at the others with pride and arrogance in his eyes.
"Boss, in just three days we lost twenty of our members to the Green Snake Gang," a man at the front of the group stood up and addressed the man on the high chair.
"Yes, Boss, we need to do something about it. Some of our brothers are dissatisfied that we haven't taken revenge yet," another man chimed in, also standing up.
"Boss, we need to go to war. The Green Snake Gang has completely overstepped their boundaries this time. If we don't do anything, what will other gangs think of us?" The man said, looking up at the man sitting above them.
The man sitting on the high chair narrowed his eyes. "Since the Green Snake Gang wants to go to war with us, then war it is."
The others in the room's eyes lit up with excitement.
"Yes Boss we need to show the Green Snake Gang that they didn't shouldn't mess with us "
"Yeah since they kill twenty of our members we will kill a hundred of their members ".
"Damm those bastards, I've been unhappy with them for a long time, this I will show them why pepper is red ".
The others sitting in the room were completely riled up as their eyes flashed with excitement and bloodthirsty.
"Ahem...".
Suddenly a slight cough sounded across the room, all of them quickly looked towards the door and saw someone leaning against the door clad in all black with a long sword in his hand looking at them.
All of them have shocked and puzzled looks on their faces as they looked at uninvited guest.
"Who are you? How did you enter here ?" One of the men shouted with an angry face.
This was naturally Zephyr standing at the door.
Zephyr looked at the men in the room and smiled, " Of course I entered through the door ".
The man's sitting in the high chair narrowed his eyes as he looked at Zephyr.
"Hey I said who are you? " the one who asked Zephyr earlier said.
Zephyr shook his head and walked in to the room, completely ignoring the man asking him questions.
He stood infront of the man sitting on the high chair with a smile playing on his lips.
" I won't waste time with guys I only have one purpose of coming here " Zephyr said.
" What is it? " The man sitting on the high chair looked at Zephyr curiosly and said.
" It's very simple I want you to surrender to me " Zephyr shrugged his shoulders.
The man sitting on the high chair was stunned, all of the others in the room were also stunned.
"pffttt! Hahahahahah" Suddenly all of them erupted into laughter as they looked at Zephyr as if they were looking at a fool.
" This guy must crazy, I'm pretty sure that this guy must be sleep walking"
" What an idiot he wants us to surrender or him "
All of them were laughed so hard that some were rolling on the ground holding their stomachs.
Zephyr just stood there with a smile on his lips as he looked at them laughing all they want.
"Listen, you nameless punk. I don't know where you come from, but you must be dreaming if you think we'll surrender to you just like that," one of the men sneered.
"Do you really think the Grey Cloud Gang will submit to anyone, much less to an idiot like you?" another one said with disdain.
Zephyr stood in front of them, a gentle smile on his face as he crossed his arms and stood confidently.
One of the men slowly approached Zephyr with a cold sneer. As he got within ten meters of Zephyr, his steps halted as he clutched his throat with wide eyes.
Blood gushed out as he slumped to the ground. Suddenly, two more men fell to the ground, clutching their throats as blood spilled out.
The man sitting on the high chair's expression drastically changed. He was about to stand up when he felt a cold chill on his neck.
Glancing down, he saw a sword pressed against his neck. Zephyr was already standing in front of him, with dead cold eyes.
"Now, I'm going to ask you again. Do you want to surrender, or do you want to see the gates of hell?"
