Building A Business Empire From Scratch In Another World

Chapter 20: 20 : Buying A Mansion

Felix closed the holographic screen system with a smile on his face. He let out a sigh of relief, knowing he had finally secured the perfect location for his restaurant.

All he had to do now was wait for the system to finish building the restaurant in four days, and then he could be able to handle the rest.

He was well aware that opening a restaurant wasn't easy - it wasn't just about building the physical space.

He needed to hire waiters, waitresses, chefs, and other management staff. Since the restaurant was going to be quite large, he knew he would need to hire a lot of people.

Luckily, he had enough money to cover all the costs.

Felix looked around the building and nodded in satisfaction. Even if the system didn't provide a fully built restaurant, the building itself was more than enough to get started.

Curiously, Felix asked the system, "How are you going to build the restaurant? Will it magically appear or what?"

[ No, Host. The system will build the restaurant in a reasonable and efficient manner. No need to worry ],The system replied,

Felix nodded, feeling relieved by the system's answer. He didn't want anyone to suspect him of anything fishy. A high-grade restaurant popping up out of nowhere in the Upper Class and Rich people's hangout spot could raise some eyebrows. He needed to keep a low profile and avoid attracting any unwanted attention.

Just as Felix was lost in thought, a commotion outside caught his attention. He looked towards the entrance with surprise and confusion.

[ Ding :Host, the construction workers have arrived ],The system chimed in

"Construction workers?" Felix was puzzled.

[ Ding : They are the ones who will be building the restaurant ].The system clarified,

"Ah, got it," Felix said, understanding the situation as he made his way towards the entrance of the building.

As he stepped out of the building, Felix was greeted by a sight that took his breath away. Enormous carriages were being pulled by giant magical beasts that he had never seen before.

They resembled wolves, but were three times larger and had crimson fur and black horns. Felix was amazed - it was his first time seeing Magical Beasts, and he was truly impressed.

There were fifty of them pulling the carriages, which seemed to be filled with materials.

"Are these the construction workers you mentioned before?" Felix asked the system.

[ Ding: Yes, Host ].

Felix nodded as he watched the carriages come to a stop around the building. People began unloading the materials.

[ Ding : I suggest the Host leave the construction premises. The system will update the Host on the progress of the construction process ] the system said to Felix.

Felix agreed and hopped onto the carriage he had purchased earlier. With a crack of the whip, the horse began pulling him towards the entrance of Audaz District.

As he rode through Brigdemoor City, he felt a sense of relaxation. The bustling streets and sounds around him brought a smile to his face.

Instead of heading straight back to the slums, Felix took a different route. This route leads towards another district.

The road began to widened, the bricks were of higher quality, and the scenery became more pleasant.

As he continued on the road he passed by fountains and also saw exotic and beautiful flowers along the way.

Ten minutes later, a tall white wall appeared in front of him. The wall was quite luxurious, with a huge golden gate glittering under the morning sun.

A few minutes later, Felix quickly arrived at the huge golden entrance.

"Stop!" a loud voice rumbled. Felix immediately pulled the reins of the horse and stopped.

Four guards wearing black armor appeared in front of him, with long swords sheathed on their waists.

They exuded a powerful aura that even made the horse pulling the carriage continue to neigh. A guard who seemed to be the leader stepped forward.

"Stop, please step down from the carriage," the guard said with a serious face.

Felix didn't hesitate and immediately alighted from the carriage.

"Greetings," the moment Felix alighted, he greeted the guard.

"Who are you and what are you doing here in the Edel District?" the guard asked with vigilance in his tone.

The Edel District is one of the three biggest districts in Brigdemoor City and the largest among the other two districts. It serves as the residences for the Nobles, Rich, and Powerful figures in Brigdemoor City, acting as a high-class residential area for the city's elite.

Ordinary people are barred from entering this district unless brought in by a resident. The Edel District is the most luxurious place in the city.

Felix had come to the Edel District to buy a mansion.

While you can purchase a residence in the district, some buildings cannot be bought with money alone.

The district is divided into three layers - the first for the wealthy, the second for the wealthy and powerful, and the third for the most influential individuals, those guys living in the third have powerful Cultivation bases and long heritages.

Despite being a place for the rich and powerful, the Edel District is a fascinating place with its layers of hierarchy.

You can only purchase a mansion in the first layer of the Edel District. For the second and third layers, mansions cannot be bought with just money alone.

It requires deep connections, power, and authority to be able to stay in these layers.

" My name is Felix Morningstar, and I want to buy a mansion in the first layer of the Edel District," Felix said to the guard.

"You want to buy a mansion here?" the guard asked in surprise.

"Yes," Felix nodded.

The guard curiously sized up Felix. This time, Felix learned his lesson and didn't wear his old and tattered clothes. Instead, he wore the clothes Trinity and Gwendolyn bought for him.

He was wearing long grey pants, a black leather jacket made from unknown beast hide with delicate gold patterns, a light shirt under the jacket, and finely crafted black boots.

His entire appearance exuded comfort, coupled with his tall stature, finely defined face, and silvery white hair, he was truly handsome and charming.

"Okay, you can go in," the guard nodded and signaled the other guards to open the golden gate.

"Thank you," Felix thanked the guard and hopped back on the carriage, immediately entering the Edel District.

As Felix entered the district, he was amazed by the scene. Long and winding brick roads extended in all directions, with a huge main road that stretched into the distance, interconnected with other smaller winding brick roads.

There were huge and delicate white statues, fountains spouting water, ponds, lakes, exotic flowers, green grassy plains, streams, and beautiful green hills.

The scenery was truly breathtaking, surpassing even the high-end residential areas back on Earth in terms of beauty.

Felix let out a sigh of amazement as he tore his gaze away from the breathtaking scenery and headed down a small path to his left. A towering six-story building stood just a few meters away.

Moments later, Felix reached the building, hopped off his carriage, and quickly entered.

The interior was beautifully decorated and surprisingly spacious with a few people moving inside the building.

"Hello, sir, how can I help you?" a gentle female voice chimed in behind Felix. He turned to see a delicate girl with a warm smile.

"I want to buy a mansion in the first layer. Can you help me?" Felix asked eagerly.

The girl's eyes lit up and she nodded, "Yes, please follow me." She led Felix out of the building.

Naturally this building serves the same purpose as a real estate agency and the girl act like a real estate agent back on Earth but the difference is that their service was much simpler and does not involve so many paper works and cumbersome procedures back on Earth.

As long as you had the money, you could buy a house on the spot.

They hopped back into Felix's carriage and drove down a different road.

Along the way, Felix saw grand mansions resembling castles, elegant smaller mansions and many other luxurious properties.

Luxuriously carriages pulled by magical beasts passed by.

After twenty minutes, they arrived at a large mansion with a red iron gate.

"Sir, this is the type of mansion you're looking for," the girl said with a beaming smile.

Felix smiled back, his eyes sparkling. "Trinity and the others are going to love it here," he chuckled.
