Awakened: Evolving to Godhood

Chapter 332 Unknown Beyond Emperor Interferes

Although the blue-flame empyrean lion has survived getting struck by heaven's blight, it was in no condition to continue fighting with Elliot. There was anger in its eye. It was angry at both itself and Elliot. It cursed itself as a fool for giving Elliot the chance to strike once. It condemned its opponent for using a heaven-shaking and earth-rendering move at the very start of the battle. It had never seen a person as shameless and tactless as Elliot. He not only took his generosity for granted and took the most significant advantage of it but also broke the standard norm of fighting, which was to always use the ultimate move at the end of the battle!

Why didn't he start from using his low-level moves and then move on to using his final attack? Why did he use his ultimate at the very start? Why was he so different than all the opponents it had faced so far? Why?!!

All these thoughts appeared on its face as it glared at Elliot.

Elliot didn't understand its language or its expression, but when he looked at its bloodshot eyes, he was able to tell that it was angry and didn't want to die.

"Don't act like a loser. It was a fair fight. You attacked first and gave me a chance to attack second. I didn't complain, and you didn't either. I won, playing the game by the rules we both agreed to silently. You can't blame me for putting an end to you now that I have won."

While saying all that to make himself feel better and justify his actions, with a single thought, Elliot accumulated energy into his right fist. As blue and gold waves of energies coiled around his hand, it glowed in multi-colors.

Then, he punched out, and from his knuckle, two beams spread outwards, the blue one spiraling around the golden one, which was blasting through the air and heading straight towards the severely injured beast that had already taken one step inside into the afterlife.

The golden beam had high penetrating power. One could say that it was a bullet shot from a sniper rifle to take down a defenseless human. The beast was merely a vulnerable target in front of it. Elliot was sure that it would break through all its defense, from its thick hide to its sturdy bones and the layer of ice-blue fire coating them. Even then, if it managed to stay alive, the blue beam would put an end to it, for it was like an explosive that would explode the moment the golden beam dissipated.

The blue-flame empyrean lion closed its eyes.

It was as if it had accepted its death.

Elliot's eyes brightened in joy. He felt happy by thinking about all the exotic things he would get from its carcass!

Sometimes, though, things don't go according to one's plan.

"Crack!"

The shrill cry of the fabric of reality tearing apart sounded. All of a sudden, and to the surprise of both Elliot and the blue-flame empyrean lion, a black hole opened up in their field of vision. Just when it thought it was going to die, its eyes widened like saucers as it saw the black hole sucking in Elliot's attack and teleporting it to God's know where.

<br/>Elliot was in a state no better than the beast. How powerful was his attack? Yet, someone so easily deflected it. Just who was behind the manipulation of space? But one thing was for sure; whoever it was was very strong, for they could manipulate space, and he couldn't sense or locate them. Elliot concluded that he wasn't strong enough to fight whoever it was.

"May I ask which mighty person saved it and why?" Elliot said in a not-so-calm voice, one full of apprehension and uneasiness.

"No need to feel troubled. I am not here to fight you."

A wizened voice echoed around the icy pond as a crack appeared in thin air. And it became bigger and bigger until it was the size of a door.

Then, Elliot saw a person dressed in black coming out from the darkness behind the crack in space.

The man had three-dimensional features, meaning he would look good regardless of which side of his face a person looks at. His eyes were as red as his blood-soaked lips, and his skin paler than snow. He looked like the modern description of a vampire.

Although said person had physical features similar to humans, to call them one wouldn't be correct. Their crimson eyes seemed to carry stars in them, and they were two heads taller than Elliot. Darkness pooled around them, and every step they took caused slight but discernible changes in the surrounding.

Elliot, with the help of his godly right eye, found out that the person who came to aid the beast was beyond the level of a magic Emperor and had the power to manipulate space. Space and time, beings who could manipulate them, were few to none. Most space-type magicians only could teleport and teleport others, but this person could shatter space, separate it from reality, and redirect all attacks thrown towards his way out of reach.

Elliot definitely didn't want to face him!

He allowed humbleness and meekness to adore his face.

"Mister, although I am a straight man, even I must admit you are more handsome than all the men I have ever seen and me."

Elliot broke the silence by praising the odd man. True, he was handsome. But he was too tall. Elliot's aesthetic told him that the man was not at all good to look at and only face con people would consider this man handsome. He had to force himself to lie as he didn't want to fight this man.

"You don't need to force yourself to say all that; I really mean no harm." The man exposed a harmless smile to Elliot before turning his back to him and walking up to brother lion.

Elliot looked at his exposed back and decided against sneak attacking him. He had many reasons behind holding back. The first was that he thought the man intentionally exposed his back to him, and if he attacked, he would fall straight into the odd man's trap. The second was that he knew it was too easy for the trap to portal his attack to outer space and even himself, so he didn't release a single ill intent while looking at the man's back.

The man truly didn't mean Elliot any harm and only came here to stop him from killing the blue-flame empyrean lion.

It cried out to the man when he reached next to him. Elliot thought that there was a high chance that the beast was crying to the man and begging him to deal with him.

It really was asking the odd man to beat the crap out of Elliot!

But the man shook his head. And to add a cherry on top of the cake, he directed a gaze full of disappointment on it. He hadn't raised it to be so shameless as to not only admit defeat even after losing a fight but also go as far as to get its master to take down his opponent. Too shameless! What a disappointment!

"Little kitty, be a good boy."

Calling a high-ranked monster lord a little kitty, only this man would do that! And he did it while patting the other. To top of it, the majestic and fearless lion lowered its head and meowed and stuck its tongue out to lick the man's hand and then rolled on its back to expose its tummy, wanting the man to rub it.

Holy fuck! It was selling meng (cuteness)! Where did its shame and pride go? Ah, Elliot saw two imaginary rockets launching towards the sky, carrying its shame and pride with them.

The man rubbed its furry tummy, and as if his palm carried extraordinary power in it, all the wounds on the beast's body healed at a rate visible to the naked eye.

The wounds Elliot had caused on its body by wasting some hundred thousand units of the essence of life and all his spiritual energy and mana, the odd beyond emperor made all of them disappear just by rubbing it!

Elliot's eyes widened to complete rounds.

What kind of perverted healing was this? It was as perverted as his demonic technique, energy radiation! A a
