With the red glows as the indicator, Ban was able to harvest six Red Ant Grass effortlessly.

He then snapped the last one into two to make it five and a half Red Ant Grass.

Ban didn't take more even though he already knew that they would still die in the end. The light display of the Red Ant Grass trying to warn the others had somewhat caused a stir deep inside him.

He bowed deeply before leaving the area swiftly. He closed the door again to seal the putrid smell that was emitting from the Waste Chamber.

Ban then went back to the Queen's Chamber to prepare for the hatching of the Demon Ant Egg.

He used the platform that the Demon Ant Queen was lying to earlier as the place to hasten the hatching process.

He places five Red Ant Grass in a circular formation with the half piece placed in the middle. The leaves were arranged meticulously according to the knowledge provided by the book to avoid mishaps.

Ban then retrieved the Demon Ant Egg and placed it in the center of the grass formation, right above the half piece of grass.

According to the knowledge, one must use exactly five and a half Red Ant Grass to decrease the hatching time by a significant amount. Any more and any less would make the method useless and no different than trash.

With the egg in place, Ban would only need to wait one hour at most for the Demon Ant Egg to hatch.

According to the book, after the egg successfully hatched, he would still need to make a contract with it.

However, because he was already in contract with the Demon Ant Egg even before it hatched, this step could be skipped.

It actually works for Ban as the method provided by the knowledge that came from the Book of Techniques involves getting familiar and close with the beast. After becoming familiar, he would then be able to offer it a contract before he could use it.

Ban felt that it was quite tiring as it involves many steps and a slight mishap would cause the first preparation to crumble into pieces.

However, Ban's mindset was actually wrong.

Usually, the summoner of the Summoner World would be unable to tame or contract beasts no matter what. They were known for their savage nature and extreme hate to humans.

However, during ancient times, there was actually a summoner that managed to do it. That summoner was the first and was also the last person known to tame beasts.

And that summoner was none other than the writer of the Book of Techniques that Ban was using, the Ancient Summoner, ****.

That Ancient Summoner was quite proud of her work and deemed it as the highest form of honor for her. The ancient summoner had risen from the bottom to the top by relying only on superior knowledge and the ability to tame and summon beasts.

Ban nervously watched the twitching egg as he waited for the thing inside of it to break free from its shell.

The egg keeps on throbbing and twitching and after a few minutes, the Egg finally starts to crack.

Crack! Crack! Crack!...

With one crack followed by the others, the eggshell could not take it anymore as it burst open with a start.

Ban was already getting worried when a minute had already passed and the thing inside the egg was still nowhere to be seen.

However, it was at that moment that a pinkish creature emerged from the crack.

The creature peeked outside the broken shell and stared at Ban with an intense gaze that was full of longing.

"How cute! Come here!"

Ban smiled and beckoned for it to get outside the broken shell and instructed it to come towards him.

A small head then slowly poked from within the crack before slowly crawling out of the broken shell just as what Ban had ordered.

The creature stumbled to the platform and struggled to get up due to its legs being wobbly. The creature stared at Ban with its big and teary eyes as if begging for help

In a certain plane outside the Summoner's World.

Two figures could be seen leaning on each other's back. One has a slender body while the other is muscular.

The muscular figure was smiling while the slender figure had a frown on its face.

It seems that the other one was pleased while the other one was dissatisfied.

It seems that no matter what, the two figure would always end up becoming opposite from each other.

Just like fire and water!
