A Demon Lord's Tale: Dungeons, Monster Girls, and Heartwarming Bliss

Chapter 567.1

Adventures of Shii (2)

“Sakuya, this way?” (Shii)

“Iuooh!” (Sakuya)

Having contacted Yuki, Shii went in the direction Sakuya wanted, feeling relieved.

The hustle and bustle of the town was getting further away.

Even though it was daytime, the road was dimly lit with almost no sunlight.

Even though they had just strayed from the main road, there were almost no people passing by, and they didn’t pass anyone.

It felt as if they had entered another world, and Shii was somehow excited.

“Hmm, this is getting fun! Sakuya, we’re going down an intersection road! Which way do we go?” (Shii)

“Iwoo, aiii!” (Sakuya)

“This way! Alright!” (Shii)

Sakuya wanted to go down one of the roads that was leading straight ahead.

Shii hummed as she pushed the stroller energetically – after a while, she noticed something strange.

She detected some kind of magic.

A strange magical sensation enveloped Shii’s body, as if she had stepped into some kind of realm.

This was not a dungeon. Shii understood that.

But…there was a change in the space similar to stepping inside a dungeon.

“Is this… some kind of magic tunnel? What do you think, Sakuya?” (Shii)

“Abuuu, auu?” (Sakuya)

“You think so? Anyway, there’s something here! It feels like an adventure! That’s good, that’s good, I’m having fun, Sakuya!” (Shii)

It was now certain that Sakuya had sensed something that she hadn’t been able to sense herself.

She hesitated for a moment, but Sakuya still wanted to go somewhere, so Shii decided to follow him since they had already come this far, and started walking into the area.

She wasn’t afraid of the dark, and she wasn’t afraid of the unknown.

It was exciting, and there was always the scent of adventure.

–From there, they continued on, following Sakuya’s guidance.

What’s strange was that they really didn’t feel any presence of people.

When they entered the back alley, they thought there were no people passing by at all… but now, there was no sign of people in the buildings on either side.

Rather than the capital, it would be more accurate to call it a ghost town.

While Shii was looking around, wondering if it was a barrier or a spell to ward off people that hit them earlier, a small tunnel appeared in front of them.

It was a rough tunnel that seemed to have been carved out of the wall. There was a small light at the end, perhaps the exit, but there was no other light.

“Sakuya, perhaps…” (Shii)

“Auuu!” (Sakuya)

As Shii thought, Sakuya stretched his body as much as he could, as if he wanted to go to the end of the tunnel, so she decided to step inside the tunnel.

–She didn’t realize until the very end that there was no tunnel there… in fact.

The rattling sound of the stroller echoed.

The tunnel was longer than she had thought, and just as Shii was starting to think it was long, she finally reached the other side.

The other side of the tunnel was a different world.

Silence.

Sunlight streamed in, and greenery swayed in the breeze.

A well-maintained stone road. It was cracked in places, probably from the passage of time, but it was clear that it had been cleaned nicely.

A stream flowed right beside the road, and at the end was a beautiful pond with a bridge over it, where fish could be seen swimming.

It seemed to be surrounded on all four sides by some kind of building wall, but the area was filled with trees, making it difficult to see.

–What spread out before her was a beautiful and elegant garden that could be described as a secret miniature garden.
